Knowledge Management
Task 1
A) In order to increase the perception of personal growth and reward the employees at
the same time, it is essential that the company comes out with creative measures to
reward the people, which are not just increasing in pay. The best of this can be
increased paid leaves! No employee enjoys a few extra days of paid leave for all the
work that they do. Again, this can be taken into consideration keeping in mind the
employee punctuality and conduct. Three to four extra days are suitable enough. If
not this, then the organization can allow the employee to participate in some
exclusive paid programs to better their skills. No employee will say no to this since it
will be sponsored by the company and will boost their confidence in themselves by
making them believe that they are worthy enough. Motivation is the best way to
ensure employees perform well, and this approach will work just well with
employees under any circumstance. 1
B) The Nominal Grouping Technique allows for problem identification, solution
generation, and decision making. Using this technique, the group had identified
solutions to the problem mentioned above. First, we identified that the employees
have a problem in identifying their personal worth and do not give themselves
enough credit as well2. The best solution we could identify for it was developing self-
worth in the employees by motivating them. This ensured that the employees
become confident of themselves. The last stage of decision making was concerned
with developing such plans for motivation for the employees.
C) By consensus, all the member of the group decided that the best for them to
increase their personal worth is to instil confidence in them, and this can happen
