This assessment task requires you to lead corporate social responsibility (CSR) at a respected organisation by considering two different areas or opportunities (such as environmental responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility or economic responsibility). In this task, you need to create a draft Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy using the case study and template provided. In your CSR Policy, you need to detail the context of the organisation, current benefits and barriers to CSR, legislation, regulation, standards and organisational policy affecting CSR analysis, future opportunities for CSR practices, key stakeholders for organisational CSR, strategies to engage with stakeholders to develop CSR objectives and policy, change management provisions for CSR strategy, how to incorporate CSR strategy into required organisational systems, procedures and processes, and procedures to be used in preparing and distributing documentation regarding CSR strategy. This task also involves a role play in which you will discuss Wesfarmers’ progress towards implementing the Ethical Sourcing and Modern Slavery Policy and 2022 Reconciliation Action Plan.
