INTRODUCTION
Leadership refers as the process which helps leader to command people and inspires them
to act towards common goal. While management is the strategic approach to manage people
within organization and ensures day to day activity that perform by employees at workplace.
leadership and management work together for making decision to keep hope to achieve expected
outcomes. To understand role of leadership and management have an example of Vodafone
company. It is a multinational telecommunication company. It is headquartered in England,
London. It operates services in the regions of Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania. It includes role
of leadership and management within organization.
MAINBODY
Role of management and leadership
Management is the strategic process which perform different operations such as planning,
organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. While leadership is an integral part of directing
operation of management. Leader access on listening, establishing relationship, teamwork,
inspiring, motivating and directing the subordinates (Bolden, 2016). Vodafone company takes
both approach within organization to get effectiveness in decision-making process.
Management plays essential role in the organization because it develops different
strategies as per the situation which leads profitability in the business activity. Manager of
Vodafone company manager is not only managed internal environment but also handles external
environment of business. Manager perform number of operations such as recruitment &
selection, reward & punishment and create and execute strategies. Manager practices different
tool which helps to meet different approach over the period. Management analyse needs of staff
when requires by another department. Where manager gives description of job profile and
recruits suitable talent which meet job post. Vodafone company keeps their management
effective so that they can create creative strategies which helps employee to improve their
working efficiency. Management motivates employees by conducting reward strategy which
inspires employee to give high performance and become part of reward. Management supports
organization by developing vision and sets objectives to achieve that aim over the time.
management has main goal to accomplish organizations need.
