INTRODUCTION
A business organisation requires leadership and management practices in respect to ensure
long-term accomplishment and sustainability. Having a leadership and management style is
important for a company to properly manage their employees. Leadership is the ability to have
the influence of a large team to achieve a common goal through their behavior and personality.
One of the chief worries facing the hospitality industry is sustainability because the hospitality
sector is a prominent sector that subsidises to increasing climate change. Leadership and
management hospitality businesses focus on taking various measures to ensure increased
sustainability. Leadership and management play a key role in ensuring that hospitality companies
move towards sustainability. With proper supervision of leadership and executive staff can be
done within the company to fulfil their responsibilities according to the needs of the company
(Siedel, 2020). The following report has taken in Four seasons London hotel, this hotel is one of
the largest hotels in the world and run their operations in different locations around the world. In
this report the application of the theory of classical management and the role of the manager and
leader are discussed. In addition to these internal and external factors that affect management
style are also being discusses along with the future management and leadership capabilities that
Four Season London Hotel can developed is being discussed too.

P1 Assess different classical management theories and apply these in a service industry context
Theories of classical management were developed and adopted by the workplace in the
corporate world in the 19th and 20th centuries. Classical management theory is mainly based on
an assumption of employees and the system has only economic and physical needs. This concept
has not properly considered Social needs and job satisfaction. Rather, it is centralized leadership
that determines labour specification, decision making process and maximizing profits margin.
With Implementing these principles in organizational structure four season London leaders and
managers can effectively increase their work capacity and control the management of the
business. The two most important and widely used classical theory are mentioned below
Taylor's Theory of Scientific Management

FW Taylor developed the scientific management theory, this theory is important
emphasize maximizing employee performance in an organizational structure. In order to execute
it is essential for a company to effectually inspire by providing their employees rewards and
other performance reviews for maximizing performance at best method. Managers need to make
sure they are guided for Four seasons instead of blaming them for small mistakes they will cut
down on the best performing employees low level of morale and performance (Dhyani, Dimri
