INTRODUCTION
Leadership is setting a new direction or vision for a group that they follow. This is very
important in hospitality industry because leaders are responsible for motivation of the employees
within the team so as to deliver the effective performance. Management controls and directs the
people as well as resources in a group according to the principles and values which are aimed at
achieving the main objectives. This report is based on the effective management and leadership
Within Docklands Academy which has a close partnership with three restaurant chains called
Hazev, Haz and Tas. These hotels deals with large variety of food and beverage operations. The
study will disclose different types of management theories such as scientific management,
Administrative, bureaucratic management etc.
Moreover, it will help in implementing different leadership and management styles
within the firm which get affected by the change in the technology and strategy of the company.
It will also help in accessing current and future management and leadership skills for the service
sector industry.

P1 Different classical management theories and its application within Hazev, Haz and Tas
Management can be considered as an art and a science in which managers deals with the
human behaviour of the employees in order to achieve the main objectives of the firm. Classical
management theories are mainly based on the beliefs that workers only have physical and
economic needs (Alonderiene and Majauskaite, 2016). Application of such classical management
theories within Hazev, Haz and Tas helps the manager in organising, motivating and
coordinating the efforts of human being with the main operations of the company. There are
various classical management theories and some of them are described below:
Henri Fayol
This is a general theory of Administration and Henri Fayol was known as the father of
modern management who laid down fourteen principles of management for improving overall
administration. This management laid emphasis on Top level management and this management
theory is applicable universally. These fourteen principles are Division of work, Authority and
responsibility, Unity of command, unity of direction, subordination, Remuneration, scaler chain,
equity etc. the application of these principles within Hazev, Haz and Tas helps the manager in
managing the employees and engaging them towards the effective operations of the firm. It allow

applied to specialised organizations only. Hazev, Haz and Tas hotel will be benefited by
employing this management theory within the business as it primary concern is increased
operational efficiency of workers and managers and they also concentrates towards in managing
the employees at supervisory level. This management consists of various principles such as
Science, harmony, cooperation, development of every person to its greatest efficiency.
Moreover, The managers of Hazev, Haz and Tas hotels mainly employ the fourteen
principles of henry Fayol within their restaurant in order to strengthen the staff members of the
hotel. It helps in delivering the effective productivity and hence maximises the profitability of
the firm.

The leaders are mainly aimed at setting the clear vision for the organization and also
motivates the workforce, guide the team members and inspires them through the work, process
and builds morale. Leadership is the process of leading the group of people towards the
achievement of the main objectives (Donate and de Pablo, 2015). There are various leadership
styles which effects the efficiency and productivity of the workforce within the service industry.
Autocratic
This leadership style allow the significant control over the staff and this leadership style
do not involves the ideas and suggestions of the team members. It is the strict leadership style
which may effect the morale and satisfaction of the employees within the firm. This style
includes the lack of creativity as the directions comes from single individual. According to this
leadership style, the role of leader is to encourage the employees in accomplishing the main
objectives of the company.

Those factors which directly impacts on the main overall performance of the business and
influence the manager in changing the management style within the organization.
Customer- These are one of the most important factors of the Hazev, Haz and Tas hotels which
helps the service industry in increasing the sales and maximised profits of the firm. Developing
the effective communication skills within the customer care team of the hotel allow the
organization in maintaining the good relationship (Van Rossum and et.al., 2016). This effects the
organizational structure as well as managing style of the managers within service industry.
Supplier- These are main key who supplies the raw material to the hotel in order to convert it
into the finished product for the final consumption. It also impacts on the decision of the
