INTRODUCTION
Leadership is all about providing a new vision and direction to the group who are
following their leader. The leader is a head of the team or organization. The management
controls and directs the people or employees of the company as per the organisation needs. The
main difference between leader and management is the leadership have followers and the
management have company employees (Armstrong, 2016). The work of management is to
manage the work and operations of organization by managing the employees and methods. This
report is providing the brief of leadership and management of Wa-Pila Hotel. The various
classical management theories are explained for hospitality industry. Role of leader and different
leadership skills are explained in study. Influence of management styles on the structure of
organization is studied in report. Micro and macro factors are explained for various management
styles. For the role leadership soft and hard skills are explained in study. The change
management of Wa-Pila hotel is compared with Hotel Hilton.

Leader
Hard Leadership skills
The hard skills of leadership are related to the professional qualities and skills of leader.
These skills of leadership are good knowledge of organizational working, experience of
production field, technical knowledge. This are some core hard skills of leadership.
Soft Leadership Skills
The soft leadership skills are the skills of leader which are important to manage the
relation with in the team. Soft leadership skill are communication, team work, flexibility,
leadership and time management (Bolden, 2016). These skills are important for the better
performance of employees with in teams. These skills are important for better team relation and
coordination.

For the better leadership in organization the leader must have combination of this soft and
hard leadership skills.
Manager
Hard Management skills
The hard management skills of the manager are knowledge of language, proper degree of
management studies, better knowledge of accounting, technical knowledge with machine
operation and knowledge of different management software which are used in management of
organization and employees. With this core skills a manager can control the organization or
employees in good manner.
Soft Management Skills
The soft management skills of the manager is same as the leadership which are
communication skills, flexibility, team work, time and work management, ability to take
criticism, self discipline and self reflection. A good manager need to have this skills to make
better professional relation with employees.

Future Skills of Leadership
Current skills of leader are not enough for performance of the organization. Apart form
hard and soft leadership skills leader shod have different other skills which are important for
improvement in the productivity of Wa-Pila Hotels. Only the communication n skills are not
enough for better employee relation a leader also need to have good presentation skill that can
help them in better way to perform information transfer. In the team work at higher level leader
should have good ethics to provide satisfactory solution to the team members at situation of
conflict. Good conflict management is required for maximum performance of hotel Wa-Pila.
Flexibility in employee management is required to keep them motivated and dedicated towards
the organization. This ability of leader can help the organization to improve productivity.
Future Skills of Manager
Manager is the person who manages all the operation of organization. This operation of
organization are related to both company operation and employee management. For better
performance of organization decision of manager does matter. A single bad decision can reduce
the productivity of Hotel Wa-Pila. So, for best performance of hotel manager muse need to have
good decision making and situation handling skills (Kok and McDonald, 2017). In the technical

sector modern hotels are implementing different changes to improve their productivity in
marketplace. Knowledge of new technology like Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing can
also help the hotel to improve its capacity to handle more guest at single time. This also can help
to provide better management.

P7 Comparison of change management in different organization
In United Kingdom there are many hotels which are giving tough competition to hotel
Wa- Pila. One of this is Hotel Hilton which is operating on global level. In hotel Hilton different
methodologies are used to implement changes in the operation of hotel. The approach of change
management is based on the various kind of situation. In Hotel Hilton before the implementing
the training and development of managers is performed to make the process as smoother as
possible. With better training of new technology or method of operation the change in the
organization working process becomes easy and easy to implement (Herman, 2016). The chances
of error reduces and risk factor in implement changes. In Wa-Pila hotels the approach of change
implementation is quite different from Hotel Hilton. The approach used by Wa-Plla in
implementing changes is the changes are implemented in the working of organization and then
the result of action is analysed to check the suitability of change in organization. If the changes
in organization working in good manner then it becomes part of company operation and if this
change is not working in good way then reinforcement is used to solve particular issue in
changed process. If the change in the company is complete failure then the organization remove
this change forma the organization.
CONCLUSION
This report is concluding classical management and leadership theories to understand the
role of leader and management in the hospitality industry. Leader and managers of organization
are the person who drives the whole organization. The efficiency and performance of hotel is
based on the skills of manager and leader in implementation of different changes in organization.
Different type of leadership styles are analysed in report. Role of leadership and management is
evaluated for the operation of Wa-Pila hotels. The impact of internal and external factor on the
leadership and management style is analysed ion study. Hard and soft leadership skills of leaders
is provided in report. Future leadership and management skills are explained for growth of hotel.
