Explain what you consider a good leader, in the workplace, does and how this impacts on organisational success. In particular
consider the communication skills that good leaders demonstrate.
Why are good communication and interpersonal skills so important?
How might the behavioural characteristics demonstrated by leaders affect the other personnel in the organisation; that is, does
good leadership impact on the ability of individuals and teams to perform to the required standards?
Consider and discuss the role that good leaders play with regard to risk minimisation/ mitigation.
Consider also:
1. How good networking skills will support good leadership.
2. What contribution a good leader can make to the development and maintenance of high performing teams.
3. How a leader can ensure that their own competencies are current and suited to their role.
4. What the role of a leader is, with regard to communicating, to the members of the organisation and to relevant stakeholders, the
legislation, codes of practice and any by-laws applicable to operation of the business.

6. What aspects of organisational culture, dynamics and behaviour would be important to the outcome of the plan?
7. How would the plan be implemented and how would its impact be monitored and evaluated?

Introduction
This is an introduction to your business and aims to tell an audience about your products or services. However, a
company introduction shouldn't just tell your audience what you do -- it should also tell viewers why you do it. A
company introduction often includes a compelling story about how the company began, as well as the company's
vision and values. It should be 2-4 paragraphs long, and effectively highlight the key points that your paper will
discuss in detail later.
Leadership can be defined as the activity for an action to lead the group an organization. Leaders are
responsible for implementing and guiding the individuals or any teams in order to perform the mutual task.
Organizational development is defined as the execution of different systems and techniques in order to
implement any change. This helps the company in expansion and growth so that the organizational
performance can be improved. Company's stakeholders are majorly responsible for the same (Zhao and
Zhou, 2019).
Organization chosen is Wesfarmers, it is one of the leading and international conglomerate company
established in 1914 and headquartered in Australia. Objective of Wesfarmers is to render satisfactory return
to shareholders. Its core values include integrity, openness, accountability and entrepreneurial spirit.
Company also consists the value creating strategies such as hiring outstanding people, empowering culture,
social responsibility, commercial excellence, innovation, robust financial capacity and maintaining
sustainability.
The following discussion is based on the leadership and its impact on organizational success.
Discussions are also made on the behavioral characteristics in the company. Role of good leaders in risk
minimization are also discussed. Discussion on good networking skills regarding leadership is also made.
The report also covers the maintenance of high performing teams and communication along with the
legislations within organizational operations. Improvement in innovation and its implementation in the
development of organization are also covered in the report. More over risk analysis and cost benefit analysis
are also conducted along with the organizational culture and its importance. Implementation of the plan and
