INTRODUCTION
Leadership is defined as practical skills or area of research to encompass the capability
of an organisation or an individual for leading or guiding other teams, organisation as a whole or
individuals. A Leader is a person who has the ability to take initiative actions for the purpose of
achieving predetermined objectives and goals. Leader has the power to influence people and
motive them to enhance their overall performance and objectives. This report covers the
reflection of various approaches and styles of leadership and a reflection is made for this purpose
which determines leadership styles required for aspiring leaders.
1. Importance of systematic understanding of leadership and its theories for the purpose of
aspiring leaders
a) Questions asked by leaders from themselves.
Am I able to motivate my subordinates in an appropriate manner?
Am I helping others to build and develop them or I am holding them back?
b) Leadership aspects

Influencer
c) Theories and styles of leaderships
A leadership style or approach is determined as a method of a leader for providing appropriate
direction, motivating people and implementing plan in accordance.
d) Appropriate leadership styles for business environment Democratic Style- In this style of leadership, leaders make decisions by considering input
of each of its employees and the workers can participate in decision making procedure.
Autocratic Style- In this leadership approach, leaders take decisions without considering
their employees. These leaders make decisions choices which is based upon their own
beliefs and it do not indulge others for any kind of advice or suggestion.
e) Reason why aspiring leaders require in-depth analysation of understanding of variety of
leadership styles

To know under what category an aspiring leader falls and to know various methods to lead
workforce. It also helps the leader to understand different ways in which they can motivate
subordinates and provide them appropriate guidance towards achieving organisational goals and
objectives.
2. Ability of evaluation
a) Vision and mission of organisational
Organisational mission determines the business of an organisation, its goals and approached that
are required to achieve those objectives. Organisation vision determines the desired position of a
company in upcoming times.
b) Contributions made by individuals
Individual in an organisation by its efficient skills and effective performance can work hard to
achieve mission and goals of a company.
c) Contribution by leaders
Leaders by influencing and motivating its team members can improve their performance by
which they can achieve business goals. Also, the leaders make the mission and vision plan which
helps in formulating effective strategy.
d) Contribution of shareholders
By achieving the long term profits and business goals, the shareholders can influence its
governance and can meet goals and objectives of individual.
e) Requirement by aspiring leaders
It is the responsibility of aspiring leaders to contribute towards evaluation of the above
contribution of shareholders, individuals and leaders to measure their performance which helps
them in achieving overall goals of a business enterprise.
3. Requirement to appropriately application of strategies of leadership for maximising potential
of an organisation in context of business
a) Leadership Strategy
Leadership strategy is determined as an ability of a leader to create an influence over others and
than make decisions for enhancing the prospectus for achieving long term success of an
organisation and in maintaining short-term stability of financing.
