1.1 Explanation of the legal and regulatory framework of the
travel and tourism sector
Every country has its own rules and regulation of everything. So
as its in England and Wales. The rules and regulation differs from
country to country. While travelling to a place we must see the
rules and regulations of the country and follow them accordingly
so as to have a safe and happy travelling. There are a set of rule

world so as its rules and law. Many organisations and associations
are formed for this sector. Some of which are-
Protecting the consumer against any unfair trade.
Health and safety rules to protect the health and safety of the
tourists.
The licensing for the sale of liquor.
Travel package regulation so that the traveller have a safe
travelling.
SRA(strategic rail authority) all the issues related to rails
operation are taken under this association.

IATA(international air transport association) it deals with the
overall world's airline system.
CAA( civil aviation authority) the protection which is given in
the UK for travelling through the air transport.
ATOL(air travel operators license) protection against the
payment of the air tickets and the package.
ABTA(association for British travel agency) all the travel agents
are controlled by this association.

the travel and tourism in England and Wales. UK has a really
good framework of rules and regulation to protect the interest of
the visitors due to which people more often visits UK with a
feeling of safe and a happy tourism. Now the country is
investing more in this sector so lets see what facilities can be
seen in coming era while travelling to UK.

Surface, sea and air transport law in
relation to the carriage of passengers
By the terms surface, sea and air transport it means that the
travelling through any of these transport. More clearly it can
be defined as -
Surface transport – the transport through which we travel on
the road. For eg. Bus, care, railways etc.
Sea transport – the transport through which we can travel
through the sea or water. For eg. - ship, boa etc.
Air transport – the transport through which we can travel in
the air. For eg. Aeroplane, helicopter etc.
Carriage – the transfer of good and services from one place to
another.
