INTRODUCTION
Operations management is a kind of business practices to create or develop high level of
efficiency possible within organization. It is based on the area of management with designing,
controlling and managing the process of production in global marketplace. This report is mainly
focused on the case study related to the UBER, commonly known as Uber and offers vehicles for
hire, food delivery, and package through partnership. Nowadays, Uber is a leading enterprise
which provide the better quality of self-driving facilities. Generally, Uber is estimated to have
over 110 million active users worldwide. This documentation will discuss about the role of a
leader and function of manager in the situational context. This report will discuss the roles,
characteristics of a leader and a manger. Furthermore, analysing theories, models of approach
within system, situational as well as contingency. However, discuss the key approach which
applicable in the operation management, role of leader and manager.
PART 1:- Management and Leadership
Define and compare the different roles, characteristic of a leader and a manager
Manager- it is define the individual person in which organization, who can design,
manage entire business operations and functions. A manager is responsible person who can drive
its goals and objective of Uber enterprise by pre-identified plans (Dekker and et.al., 2021).
To accomplish efficient task, manager have been developed or established the approaches
to implement suitable strategies. The positive aspect of manager is to distribute the various level
and allow them to manage complex tasks across different departments.
Leaders- A leaders are those who can complete their tasks from employed by enterprise.
Being a leader, it can perform the different roles and responsibilities for motivating or inspiring
the workforce through communication, leadership skills. These kind of skills are adopted by
efficient leader to achieve organizational goal and objective.

Differentiate between Leaders and Managers-
The roles of leader and manager are become consider as interchangeable but it lies into
difference between functions. Different tasks are performed by manager, leader to handle overall
business operations and functions. An efficient leader has been setup the vision, mission of Uber
enterprise and establish a better coordination with staff members.
