INTRODUCTION Management and operations is related with development and controlling the production processin the organisation in respect of goods and services. It involves optimum utilization of theresources that are required for effective and efficient operations of the business. Operationsmanagement is related with planning, managing and controlling the process of production ofgoods and services. The objective of managing the operations is to maximise the profits through effective management of efforts of staff. Operations manager is responsible for meeting theneeds of clients. Unilever is a company that deals in consumer goods. It belongs to consumer goods industry. Itwas founded in 2nd September 1929. The company is headquartered in London, U.K. It deals invarious types of products such as personal care, food and beverage etc. The Report will describe will define role of leader and manager in different situations, variousmethods of operations management, factors inside the organization that impact the managementof operations and the process of decision making by leader and manager.MAIN BODYP1) Roles and characteristics of a leader and a manager.
