MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION2IntroductionAn organization in its simplest form (and not necessarily a legal entity, e.g., corporation orLLC) is a person or group of people intentionally organized to accomplish an overall,common goal or set of goals. – By Carter McNamara (McNamara, 2018).An entity including several people, like an association or an institution that has a commonobjective or goal and is connected to an external environment, is known as Organization(Groenewegen, Ferguson, Moser and Borgatti, 2017). Managing people, planning, controllingresources and leading a company in order to achieve the desired goals is the main agenda ofan organization. This report will help in identifying the concept of effectively managing theorganization and the approaches they use to become successful in the market. With the helpof Snap Inc. Company all the approaches and techniques will be explained to give an ideahow an organization becomes successful. The report will be divided into three tasks whichwill eventually explain every important aspect of the company. Task 1Background of Snap Inc.Snap Inc. is a social media and technology company of America founded by Bobby Murphyand Evan Spiegel on 16 September 2011. Headquarter of the company is in Venice,California. The offering of the company includes Bitmoji, Snapchat, Zenly, and Spectacles(Sehn, 2018). The company belongs to Social Media and Hardware industry. The companywas formed when Evan Spiegel (CEO) came up with his classmate of Stanford, BobbyMurphy (co-founder of the app and Chief Technology Officer). In its starting stage the company was called as Snapchat Inc. butafter some analysis in 2016, the company was rebranded by the name Snap Inc. such that thespectacle product can also be included under a single brand. The company function as acamera company by offering an application camera that supports people to interact with theirfriends, family with the help of images and short videos. In 2017, Snap Inc.’s market sharewas US$ 824.949 million. The scope and scale of the company show that the whole worlddoes not use the Snap Inc.'s products yet daily around 100 million people use it, and whereasthere are around 200 million active users.
