INTRODUCTION
Snap chat is made by snap inc which is a fastest growing and popular mobile app founded
in 2010 in headquartered in Venice. As, growing with popularity and globally explored a new
wave in social media. Though the trend is getting changed rapidly, successes of social media and
business is enhanced with creativity by, meeting the needs of managers by conductive
environment. In this report, introduction to organisation has been elaborated with explaining the
structure of organisation. Also, there are specific drawbacks and advantages of modern
management, that are used in Snap inc organisation have been described. Along with this,
identification to innovative strategic management objectives have been discussed.
TASK 1
A. Introduction of Snap inc.
The mobile app that are made by snap Inc. are known as snap chat which is used for
sending and receiving text messages, funny videos and drawings which gets expired with set
time that ranging from few seconds till 24 hours (Boselie, 2017). There is absence of cost collected
for this app as, it can be downloaded from different app stores and also featured on Android’s,
Apple’s iOS. It enables the user of app to store the content and preserve as per needs. It is
different type of content compared to face book, Instagram, twitters and others.
Work of Snap chat: The captured pictures and videos and that are viewed are known as snaps.
When, these snaps are sent to either public or individual are known as stories. The stories can be
replayed and when sent to another user the time could be set to view the video or snaps. Also,
these Snap chat allow the user to record video for 10 seconds by which it can be shared (A 'Snap-
py' Introduction to Snapchat, or Snap Inc, 2016).
Text, filtering, drawing, and stickers on Snap chat: This Snap chat is not much different from
Instagram’s or Facebook or any other apps that are used for text messages and videos. There is
no compulsion to upload standard photos and videos. The user can just customise by tapping on
‘T’ icon which is at the top and he requires justify has to be made.

Snap chat lenses: More fun can be added by using the lenses that are made available to the user.
These lenses are an either, flat or 3D overlay which fits around the face in frame.
B. Organisational structure of Snap inc
Activities such as allocation of tasks, coordination, direction and supervision that are
performed towards the achievement and accomplishment of organisational goals and objectives
are known as organisational structure (Boedke and et.al., 2014). Secrecy, control and kindness are
the opted company’s culture by Snap inc to perform better. Also, the structure of organisation
gets changed as per the objectives of organisation. The structures are designed for internal
functions by identifying about certain roles and responsibilities to staff which relate to
performances of departments that are within the company.
Snap’s unusual structure led to a series of breakthroughs but, it couldn’t break company:
Certain plans were changed informed by the CEO Eva Spiegel, and employees were asked to
stop their work as the new plans and designs ahs to be implemented. As, the structure of
organisation gets changed in various ways, depending upon objectives and goals that are set
earlier by the management. This framed structure enabled the Snap chat to determine the modes
in which it could effectively perform. The growth became stagnant with a fall in stock price, as
they started with a new project by shifting 100 engineers by concentrating from big publishers
back to close friends. And the new project was termed as cheetah.
Later on by completing one month the employees of Snap chat are invited as guests for New
Year party and the cheetah got wrapped. The structure of organisation affects the action in two
ways are detailed as follows
1. It provides the foundation on standard operating procedures and routines test.
2. The process of decision making is determined by knowing about the individuals they may
get participated in the processes by which the actions of organisation of Snap chat gets
specific shape to perform (Hauerwaas and Weisenfeld, 2017).

A. Advantage and disadvantage of Snap inc used modern management approach
With the help of contingency approach which is also known as situational approach the
specific advantages and drawbacks that are faced by Snap inc or Snap chat are discussed in this
report.
Contingency approach: The latest approach is contingency approach opted by management of
Snap inc. It suggests the best way to manage. There are specific advantages that are benefited by
Snap inc or Snap chat are discussed as follows.
Advantages:
Control over the sequences are made by contingency approach as it gets well known
about the behaviour of Snap Inc., also the behaviour is said to be contingent on forces of
Snap Inc. environment (Maes, De Haes and Van Grembergen, 2015).
The behaviour is unpredictable and managers can change at any time the difficult
situation can be determined with solutions with the help of contingent approach.
By interacting between various sub systems, recognition can be made accordingly with
the help of contingency approach
Suggestions are made by this approach by knowing the internal and external variables
that are critical and solutions can be made by pragmatic method.
Disadvantages: Though there are many advantages that are benefited by Snap inc, certain
presence of disadvantages that affects the performances of management are detailed in this report
as follows.
This approach discards the universal validity of principles that are framed by Snap inc.
Also, this approach does not based on theory. Also, advises are situation oriented and not
stereo typed.
Before performing any solution to actions, the alternative solutions are expected which is

company.
There are six interrelated elements that helps the organisation of Snap chat to follow the
Johnson and Scholes which is called as paradigm, that explains about the model of working
environment. Out of six three elements are detailed in this report as follows.
Stories: This element details about the perception views and thoughts of people as they speak
inside and outside Snap inc. the great behaviour is determined by values and perceives as the
company chooses to immortalize says as great deal. The thoughts of the people can be either
negative or positive that is determined with the help of stories element which enables the Snap
inc organisation. The behaviour is enhances by the values and perceives that organisation of
Snap Inc. chooses to be (Tan, 2014).
Rituals and routines: The second element describes about the routine behaviour and actions of
Snap inc people which signals about the behaviour is acceptable. It enables the management of
