MANAGEMENT
I am at that stage of my career, where self-reflection is necessary for evaluating the
effectiveness, appropriateness and flexibility of the plans and practices towards
accomplishing the identified and the specified goals. Being supervisor at Euro Group, I have
learnt about the ways and means to monitor and regulate the operations. This has been easy,
as I had a Diploma degree in business communication from TAFE. As a matter of
specification, I upgraded my knowledge, skills and expertise in the disciplines of tourism,
health and services, telecom, information and technology. The infrastructure of Euro Group is
such, which caters to the professional establishment of supervisors like me.
The focus is on sustainable development, which inculcates within me the value of
sustaining the resources for the future generations. I have learnt that policies and practices are
flexible enough for enhancing the corporate social responsibility. Considering the arguments
of Rosenbach (2018), I can say that the recruitment and selection policies are flexible and
secured, which assures us to invest our talents in the services of the Group. Upon the
recruitment of the candidates, we take sessions to enhance their awareness about the courses
of long distance learning, video conferencing and online reporting system, which they would
lean during their probationary period. We also tell them about the training program, career
plans and the health benefits that they would get in the package form.
I take pride in highlighting the fact that while providing training to candidates about
customer relationship management, my decision-making skills, capabilities and competencies
are enhanced. This is because I get to interact with the candidates from different socio-
cultural backgrounds. In the process of monitoring their performance, I get to revise my
preconceived skills, which is assistance for me in terms of improvising on my personal
performance. This is where I can apply the concept of observational learning, as while
monitoring the performance of the staffs, I observe and form notions regarding my

performance. This is different at every stage of operations, as the circumstances are new and
changing according to the needs and requirements of the organization.
The main functionalities of Euro CRM Group revolves around Business Process
Outsourcing (BPO), Call centre, telemarketing and training. My proficiency in business
communication is an advantage in terms of luring the clients and the customers towards the
services. This proficiency has enhanced my awareness regarding the demarcation between
gossiping and clarifying the benefits of the services to the stakeholders and shareholders. To
evaluate my performance, I read online articles and books on enhancing my communication
skills, capabilities and competencies. Through one of the articles, I came to know that
gossiping is an art, which needs to be dealt tactfully for earning the respect of others.
According to the revelations of this article, confession is one of the means for purifying the
inner self. I totally affirm with the statement, as confessing about the bad deeds helps in
gaining the trust, assurance, dependence and loyalty of others. I think this trust is of utmost
importance for averting the issues of misunderstanding, doubts and conflicts, which can
degrade the professional stability in the relationship between the employees, supervisors and
managers.
Komives (2016) states that gossiping indicates sharing the knowledge with others.
According to the common perceptions, gossiping increases the mutual understanding between
the two persons, as the experiences, thoughts, feelings and ideas are shared with others. I
think rationality in disclosing the information is assistance in terms of preserving the personal
safety. If the conversation takes place in the familiar sphere, then also rationality is needed in
the disclosing the information to the stakeholders and shareholders. On the other hand, the
people who like gossiping find it hard to stop it. This is inclusive of the disclosures of
personal information and facts, which can be harmful. It is at this stage when yoga finds its
importance. Mirvis (2019) is of the view that yoga enhances the concentration power of the

individuals, assisting them in improvising on the performance. I think yoga is one of an
important medium for gaining an insight into the needs, which one wants to accomplish.
Here, I can relate Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, according to which my need would be
accomplishment of the self-esteem. Yoga enables the person to indulge in interaction with the
self, which is needed in terms of enhancing the awareness about the self-strengths, weakness,
opportunity and threats. One of the other aspects in this context is social interaction, which
enhances my awareness about the extent to which I can create impression on my
subordinates. Here, possessing a diploma degree in the business communication from TAFE
is an advantage in terms of displaying fluency in communication with the clients and the
customers.
Affirming with the views of Higgs and Dulewicz (2016), one of the indications of
good gossip is that of understanding the nuances of the human drama. For this, I think the
facilitation of information exchange needs to be proper. This is in case of both the formal and
informal sphere. Gossip can also be considered as one of an important means of social
monitoring, which groups the people in a class. I can also mention about the concept of bad
mouthing, which is assistance in identifying the good and the bas gossips. Therefore, I think
indulging in group discussions with the staffs helps me to detect their mind set towards
performing the activities according to the plans and programs. According to me, one to one
sessions are the effective means, which helps me to detect the issues, which the staffs are
facing while executing the allocated duties and responsibilities. These sessions provided the
staffs with a platform for raising their voice for the issues within the business operations. As I
knew the basics of corporate communication, I had profound knowledge regarding preserving
of the privacy and individual sentiments while communicating with the staffs.
I think spreading rumours yields negative word of mouth. This is one of the means,
compelling the customers to switch over the companies, resulting in the loss. Therefore, I
