Introduction
The paper discusses the management, as well as the operations of two companies, are such as
Waters and Amazon. Operation management is one of the processes of the production of the
company that can help in case of managing the projects and the actions of the projects.
Therefore, it can be added that the operation management can help the organisations to reduce
certain blocks from the total process chain of the production of the company. Not only that with
the help of the management operations the organisations can be able to improve their business
actions through various ways such as planning, organising, coordinating and controlling the
resources of the production.
Task 1
Definition of a leader and manager
A leader is a person who can influence a group as well as individual person to achieve the
particular goals. In addition, it can be added that a leader is a person who always goes first and
shows the path to the others by setting examples. Therefore, it can be said that a leader has the
capacity to motivate a group or individual person to follow the paths of the leader. However, it
also can be added that the leader should have the root to the commitments that can help the
leader to achieve the destined goals as well as it can be said that through the dedication as well as
commitments of the leader's other people can be inspired to follow the paths of the leader
(Baumback et al. 2017).
A manager is an expert in his own field and it can be added that the manager has the capacity to
manage as well as support to team members of an organisation. Therefore, it can be added that
the manager works under the organisation's and always works with the team members within the
organisation to achieve the destined goals of the organisation as well as the goals of the team. In
addition, it can be noted that the manager should focus on the needs as well as to the
requirements of the employees and take responsibility for the employees within the workplace of
the organisation (Laseter and Rabinovich, 2016). The manager always set the goals for the higher
achievement in the workforce of the company.
