The objective of the journal article lies in investigating the diverse elements that remains
quite prominent at workplace and the impact it has on the employee satisfaction towards the
diversity at the workplace in the hotel industry of Malaysia. The article put forward a discussion
on the diversity variables like the gender, ethnicity, age and educational background in
influencing the satisfaction of the employees. The journal article draws a relationship between
these four variables and the satisfaction of employees and how it influences the turnover rate of
the employee in hotel sector. It has been found that Tourism Malaysia has aggressive
commitment and promotional efforts from the players of industry that have resulted in
continuous growth of the tourism industry. The journal article provides an expected growth
figures of 29.4 million tourists generating total revenue of 89 billion ringgit that resulted in the
increase of the hotels. This in turn leads to lowering of the turnover rates in the hotel industry in
the long run. The article portrays the fact of how relevant it becomes in investigating the
influence of diversity on the satisfaction of employees. The article also provides an insight into
how the self administered questionnaires are distributed for collection of data across 150
employees belonging to Clang Valley of Malaysia for the convenience of sampling. The finding
of the journal shows how the ethnicity and the gender play a key role on the employee
satisfaction while the education and age have no such positive significance on the employee
satisfaction in the hotel industry.

According to this journal article Workplace Diversity represents holistic concept that
depicts the differences existing between the people working within organization. In this
particular journal article the author describes workplace diversity as the complicated
psychological, sociological and the physical attributes that includes ethnicity, gender, sexual
orientation, political or religious belief that defines the group or the individual. Hence, the
workplace diversity rises above the representation, recruitment or the preferential treatment of
the people within organizations. The article provides an insight about how the workplace
diversity has become one of the challenges issues that holds critical importance in the
organizational and business management. The article also portrays critical issues presently
impacting the Workplace Diversity in the modern organizations. The journal article highlighted
and identified the various challenges and prospects of the workplace diversity. The findings from
the study revealed that diversity in workplace enhances problem solving, critical thinking and
the skills of the employee professionals. Besides, it also helps the organization in attracting the
talent, improving the corporate attractiveness and productivity. The journal article shows how
workplace diversity is hampered by disrespect, hostility and the discrimination of the people with
the diverse backgrounds encountered within the workplace. The journal article shows how this
behavioral attitude varies with the choices of the lifestyle, cultural and the ethnic disabilities,
differences and the generational gaps. These factors ensure the stifling of the morale,
profitability, attractiveness and teamwork of organization. The journal article thus portrays how
