INTRODUCTIONGlobalisation is the process in which a firm expand its business operations to anothercountry for enhancing their share in the market as well as to increase the number of their existingcustomers. Globalisation is also an essential aspect for businesses to increase their brand imageat international level. There are also several factors which can effect the globalisation processsuch as cost, time, resources etc. The taken firm in this report is Jaguar which is a premiummotor vehicle manufacturer in having headquarter in England. This report will discuss thepositive impact of globalisation in ethical, cultural and economic aspects. Also this report willexplain the interrelation between various business departments. Further aims and objectives willbe developed along with the cost, scope, time, quality, communication, risk and resources whichcan impact the globalisation process. Gantt chart, WBS, research methodologies etc. will bediscussed further along with the interpretation of the questionnaire and a valid recommendationwill be given to the firm in the end of report.Positive impact of GlobalisationEconomic impact: Globalisation increases the competition among the local players of theeconomy due to which they perform their operations for generating higher revenue andprofitability (Baylis, Smith and Owens, 2017). Due to this increased competition, newopportunities employment, payment of taxes to the government etc. takes place in the country inwhich the business is operating. This also positively impact the living standard of the peoplewhich will directly support the development and growth of the economy (Baylis, Smith, andOwens, 2017).Cultural impact: Every country has their own variety of cultures which must berecognised by the firms when expanding its business operations. This can be done with the helpof the workforce who has enough knowledge regarding the cultural differences. Through thisknowledge, firm can provide their products according to the needs and requirements of thecustomers. This is helpful in successful expansion of the firm (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin,2013).Ethical impact: Various rules, values and beliefs are made by the government whichmust be followed by the firms in order to perform their activities in an ethical manner. increase in market (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin, 2013). Therefore, the organisations needs toperform their different business functions and operations in ethical way .Background of the researchJaguar is a luxurious vehicle brand of the firm Jaguar Land Rover, which is ainternational car producer having headquarter in Coventry, England. Jaguar Cars produced theirown cars until the merger with the Land Rover on 1 January 2013. The company was listed onthe London Stock Exchange in the year 1984 and remain a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index till1990 when the company was acquired by Ford motors (Chen and Tsou, 2012). This firm issuccessful in the market as it is providing their products i.e. cars at affordable prices whencompared to features which are highly expensive in competitor's cars. Also the cars are inpremium range so features are also given accordingly. The firm has taken decision to expandtheir business operations in other countries for attaining high growth and market share. But themanagement of the firm needs to analyse the market condition and the impact of globalisation onthe business functions. The impact on business functions is given below:Operations: When expanding the business, Jaguar needs to deal with various type ofclients and also the firm needs to make them loyal towards the brand by fulfilling theirrequirements and demands. The firm needs support from their production departments as thisdepartment deals with the clients on regular basis in an effective manner (Chen and Tsou, 2012).Marketing: For the success of business in new country, Jaguar needs effective marketingdepartment whose function is to make people aware regarding the brand and its providedproducts. The marketing department can effect the decision of the people and can attract themtowards purchasing the products of the firm by using the unique features and design of their cars.Human resource: HR department is responsible for recruiting talented and skilledindividuals who can perform their work with the required efficiency for longer duration. The HRdepartment of the Jaguar needs to recruit candidates who understand the culture andgeographical backgrounds of the country. Through these newly recruits, company can effectivelyprovide their products and services according to the demand and needs of customers for fulfillingthem in an effective manner (Doherty, Ashurst and Peppard, 2012).Accounting: Firms needs huge amount of funding for expanding the operations of thebusiness. The finance department is responsible for maintaining the records of the money andtransactions which occurred during the expansion. This transaction management is helpful for2

organisations to set their pricing strategies. Also Jaguar needs to understand the differentaccounting policies of different nations for recording the data accordingly. ScopeGlobalisation is the process of expansion which generatenew employment opportunities and revenue for the firmin future. The scope for Jaguar cars is very wide due todealing with people from various nations and Due toengaging in auto-mobile, firm needs to face highcompetition from their rivals, which will increase therevenue and profit of the firm. The scope of the researchis also very wide as it helps in determining the trends ofimpact of globalization on business functions (Florén, andFrishammar, 2012). This research provides the necessaryknowledge of the customers to the firm so that the firmcan produce the products based on their needs.TimeTime also play a important role in the globalisation as thefirm needs time for getting a competitive advantage in thenew market. Jaguar cars needs to set the time frames forexecuting their activities in timely manner. The firm hasestimated a time period of 6 months for getting therequired success and growth in the new market. Whereasthe researcher has estimated a time period of 2 months forconducting the research properly.QualityJaguar cars needs to maintain the quality of their productsfor getting the desired success and growth in the newmarket. Customers automatically get attracted towardsthe firm when their provided products are of high quality(Inauen and Schenker-Wicki, 2011).
