Introduction
Globalisation is defined as a process by which the international markets are
interconnected with each other. It results in large increase of trade and cultural exchange
among the nations. It leads to make countries interdependent in world by increasing the
volume of cross-border dealings of services and products. This particular report is based on
Jaguar Cars. The company is a British multinational luxury vehicle manufacturer since 1933.
Jaguar has its headquarters in Whitley, England (Globalisation. 2019). The company was
responsible to produce jaguar cars until the operations of the company were merged with
Land Rover. From, 2013 it formed as Jaguar Land Rover. The following report mentions the
project management plan which include various aspects as costs, resources, scope, time,
risks, quality. It will also involves quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigate
for coming across the project objectives. This report depicts the impact of globalisation on
the business of the company. This will help in analysing the operational functions for a
particular situation and will aid the organisation to cover the international market
successfully.
Positive impact of Globalisation in general to the businesses in the UK.
1. Economic Impact- The impact of globalisation is a complete advantage for people
economies in worldwide by making the market activities effective, reducing the
conflicts on border, increasing healthy competition and results in enhancement of
wealth (Beamish, P., 2013).
These are the reasons why the government authorities of countries introduces FDI
policies to attract foreign companies to start business operations in their market.
Economic impact on Jaguar has been very good as they are the luxury car producers the
other countries with sufficient resources available wants to indulge in business
collaborations with the company.
2. Cultural Impact- Expanding business activities across the borders, it is very
important for an organisation to have an satisfactory help from the manpower
belonging the employees from different cultural backgrounds. It is required, so that it
get easy for the organisation to deal with contrary culture of the nation in which they
are functioning (Boddewyn, 2015). Jaguar is growing with a great pace in the
international market because the company is taking care of the cultural diversities of
respective markets they are working in.
3. Ethical Impact- It involves rules and regulations formulated by the governments of
the countries. These rules are made to make a proper structure for the FDI to carry
their operational functions in a certain manner (Brouthers, Nakos and Dimitratos,

2015). Jaguar make sure that the companies employees follow the ethical laws while
dealing with the particular clients.
Background of the Research
Jaguar is an organisation which operates in UK and decides to expand its market
globally. To capture the market and build a strong brand image among its existing
competitors. The company is successful as the cars produced are of high qualities and only
limited to the clients who prefer luxury as their need. The demand for the Jaguar cars are high
in the market.To achieve this company requires capable assistance from various departments
which are:
1. Operations-Expanding its business globally, Jaguar is required to deal with a
massive number of clients to enhance the operational activities of the company to
run in effective and efficient manner(Buckleyand Ghauri, 2015). The company is
liable to make effective coordination within the departments to proceed the
functions actively. As, Jaguar manufacture luxury cars so they have to target a
particular customer base and to influence them to be the loyal customers of the
company with effective communication methods.
2. Marketing- This department act as a main medium to deliver the company and its
services information in the targeted market of a nation in which the company is
expanding its business. This can be done by making a proper marketing budget for
the promotional activities and to assign proper employees for the certain work
who have the knowledge of the market (Burns, 2016).
3. HR- This department is required to hire new employees who have a valuable
knowledge of the market and its cultural background. This will help Jaguar to deal
with the new client base effectively and to sustain in the new market conditions.
4. Accounting- Taking the business on a global platform involves a lot of
transactions which requires to be maintained in a proper book of records in
account of the company (Chesbrough, Vanhaverbeke and West, 2014). This work
is for the accounts department of the company to make the records and to have the
knowledge of the expenses Jaguar has incurred during the process of globalising
their business.

Project Title To analyse the positive economic, cultural and ethical
impacts of globalisation on various departments of
organisation. A case study on Jaguar Cars.

Company Name: Jaguar Cars
Cost Cost is very important segment which is
required in every field during the process of
globalising business. The cost is incurred for
advancing the technology, recruitment of
employees, purchasing the particular
equipment’s and setting up infrastructure for
the company (Cui and Jiang, 2012). Jaguar is
operating their business at global level.
Therefore estimated budget for them is £
50,000 this helps them to identify modification
in internal department of organisation. While
the estimated amount for investigator or
researcher is £ 7,000 it helps to conduct
research in a effective manner.
Scope This defines the possibilities by which the
Jaguar can achieve by expanding their
business globally. As the company produces
luxury cars and delivers to various nations,
Jaguar has a wider scope in every new market
they will target. Moreover organisation has
scope to enter in market of developing
countries. Like China, India, Africa etc. So they
approach more number of potential customer's.
Whereas researcher gets opportunity to
understand auto-mobile industry as well as
whole organisation. Further this also helps to
conduct research in systematic manner. (Dai
and et. al., 2014).
Time It is very important for any organisation as time is a
valuable factor if it is gone then there will be a great
challenge for the company to grab competitive
opportunity and to sustain in the market (Dunning,
2015). Time is crucial factor for organisation which
helps Jaguar to deliver their products within specified
period. This increase customer satisfaction level and
loyalty towards organisation. In context of researcher

gathering of data and information before the deadlines
of product.
Quality The involvement of customers with the operational
activities of company can be increased only by
providing them with satisfactory services. This can be
ensured by the employees to deal with the customers in

Providing feedbacks facilities to the clients results to
increase their satisfaction level with the company. This
factor provide benefits to organisation as well as
consumer through increasing or generating more value
in their products.
Communication Communication is a key role for any company to
connect to its customers. It gives an opportunity to
management to make strong loyal client base for the
company (GabrielssoIles and Martin, 2013). Their are
several tools are used by organisation to communicate
with their customer's that includes mails, internet, cell-
phones etc. As it helps them to develop positive
relationship in the organisation. Further from
perspective of researcher tool used to gather
information is interview, phone calls, internet and
many more. As it assist them to collect primary data
that directly represent suggestion of customer's.
Risk Risk is a crucial part for any business which is always
present in the environment with its complex and
contingent nature. It can result in positive way or
negative way to the business as the conditions are
uncertain in the new market. In order to overcome
from risk factors, Majority of international
organisation use effective tools to calculate risk in
effective manner. (Grayson and Hodges, 2017). Thus,
it is important for the management of Jaguar to
evaluate and eliminate the risk which will arise in the
