INTRODUCTION
Globalisation can be defined as a process that could help a company in selling its
products or services across the boundaries in all over the world. Over the years it has been found
that, people’s mobility have been one of the most crucial aspect which impacted on global
economy in both positive and negative manner (Ahmed Dine Rabeh, Jimenez-Jimenez and
Martínez-Costa, 2013). Present assignment is going to discuss the concept of globalisation and
its effect on business organisations that are doing business at international level and it will also
show its impact on functions of it. Considering this, Uber Technologies Inc. Has been taken in
this project. It is a peer-to-peer ridesharing, taxi cab, food delivery, bicycle-sharing, and
transportation network company (TNC) headquartered in San Francisco, California, with
operations in 785 metropolitan areas worldwide. Present investigating report will keep its focus
on aims and objectives for the case scenario of Uber. It will also clearly show concept of
research methodology so that interpretation of accumulated results can be done. Lastly, a few
recommendations are also going to be included for enhancing the business market of this
company at global level.

It has been analyse that globalisation have been a great subject to study in past few years,
because if have been affected business organisations that are doing business at international level
in both negative and positive manner. According to a report, it is being found that forms that are
preparing to expand their business at international level, globalisation have given ample number
of benefits. It helps in doing trade off products and services across the boundaries. In context
with uber, which is providing services like food delivery bicycle sharing taxi cab peer-to-peer
sharing and other is being dealing with a number of issues which created problems for this
organisation to run its business at international level this organisation to run its business at
international level (Crane and Matten, 2016). Therefore, uber has kept its focus on enhancing
it’s business what the market share with the help of considering culture, economic, and ethical
aspects. Considering globalisation easily help Uber to enhance its profit margins, good brand
value and it can also it then in improving their market share with an ease. Supervisors of this
organisation have already kept their focus On becoming a worldwide brand which sells services

like sharing of cabs, transportation and many more other things (Introducing Research Methods.
2017).

Objectives: The main objectives of present research are given as below:

 To find reasons through which negativity of globalisation can be reduced and functions

Project management plan is a formal or approved document which helps organisation to
manage and control their activities. It is very essential to prepare a development plan which
includes each important information related to development plan. As it provides data related to
estimated cost, time, risk, scope etc. associated to the project. In case of Uber, it will help in
effective and efficient decision making (Smith, Binns and Tushman , 2010). It will also help
Uber in identifying the positive impact of economic, cultural, and ethical aspects of globalization
on functions of business like Human resource, Operations, Accounts & Finance and Marketing.
Development of a project management plan includes various aspects which are as follows:
Cost : Implementation of project in a desired manner requires enough money. For this,
Uber needs to identify estimated cost which they need to have for analysing or evaluating the
impact of above mentioned factors on different functions of business. Estimation of cost should

be accurate as under estimation will create problems for business in actual implementation of
plan (Den Hertog, Van der Aa and De Jong, 2010).
Scope of project : It identifies the opportunities associated with project in future or long term. As
it will help Uber in enhancing their business or operational activities by taking advantage of
available opportunities. By analysing impact of different aspects of globalization, company will
enable to provide better services to its consumers.
Risk management : In today’s business environment every project involves some risk, which are
directly associated with the result of the plan. While developing project management plan
manager should analyse and consider all possible risks. In context to Uber, analysis of risk
related to economic, cultural and ethical aspects is necessary to identify their impact on
functional activities (Eckerson, 2010).
Quality : The main aim of developing a project is to provide excellent services to consumers for
satisfying their needs by maintaining high quality. In this context, favourable impact of
economic, cultural and ethical aspects of globalization will help business to improve or maintain
quality in their functional processes. Good quality of functional processes will help Uber in
enhancing their profitability and consumers base (Smith, 2011).
Communication : Communication plays very essential role while development or
implementation of project in a successful manner. Communicating whole plan with staff helps in
identifying all associated pros and cons which can impact the success of actual implementation
of plan. Better communication encourage exchange of views and ideas with each other. So
effective communication and coordination leads to accomplishment of project in better way
(Gebauer, Edvardsson and Bjurko, 2010).
Time : It is very essential element of ever project, as it identifies the total time for performing
each and every activity of project. In case of Uber, this project will take 46 days for finishing all
tasks and this will also help in completing activities in given time frame.
