ABSTRACT
Managing a successful business project is very essential for developing various
opportunities for the organisation. In the present report, aim and objectives are developed on the
basis of which whole project is conducted in an effective manner. It has been said that in this
report, different sections are covered which includes project management plan, research
methodology, data analysis, recommendations and many more. A project management plan is
developed in this research which includes various elements such as cost, time, resources, scope
and many more. After conducting this research it has been identified that primary research is the
method which is quite beneficial in order to collect accurate and authentic data. In this report,
questionnaire method is used for collecting authentic data where total number of respondents are
30. At the end of this research, some recommendations is given to the company where they
should provide training sessions to their employees on a regular basis.

INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is a method used by various multinational companies in order to expand its
business operations at global level, so that they can increase their profitability. This is the

method which provide various opportunities to the organisation which as a result enhance the
brand image of company. By adopting globalisation method companies will be able to attract
large number of customers towards their entity which as a result enhance its profitability.
Primark is chosen as the base company in this report which was founded in the year 1969 (Boyle,
2017). Its headquarter is located in Ireland and deals fast fashion industry. In this project,
various things are included which need to be conducted effectively for which aims and objectives
are going to be developed. Apart from this, work breakdown structure, Gantt chart and project
management plan is included. In addition to this, recommendation is given to the company after
conducting the research in an effective manner. It includes detail explanation on the research
methodology topic. At last, recommendation and reflection is given at the end of this research.
last, it provides recommendation to the company and reflection on overall journey of
investigation.
TASK 1
Aims and objectives
Globalisation is one of the most important method used by companies in order to
expand its organisational functions at international level. Along with this, by using this
method company will be able to gain different opportunities at the competitive marketplace.
Primark is chosen as the base company in this report which mainly deals retail industry with the
aim of generating higher success. Company mainly operates its business functions in different
countries across the world (Clinton and Whisnant, 2019). In the present context of Primark,
management team of the company select, recruit, provide training sessions for the development
of employees so that they can accomplish their goals and objectives effectively. In reference to
the present context, company hire a researcher so that they can accomplish the aim and
objectives and develop positive result. Research aim, objectives of this research are as
follows:

LITERATURE REVIEW
Concept of globalisation and its impact on HRM practices
As per the opinion of Crane and Matten, (2016), globalisation refers to the method where
integration as well as interaction within individuals, government along with companies all over
the world. In reference to the current research topic, it has been said that there are different types
of HRM practices which need to be considered by the management team of the company. With
the assistance of highly skilled employees, managers attain their goals and objectives in an
effective period of time. It has been analysed that the HR manager of an organisation does
not rely on the a particular marketplace in order to find best and suitable staff members so
that they can meet the global requirements in an effective manner. Therefore, it has been
said that due to globalisation, HRM practices highly influences as it affects the overall
business functions of the company.
Issues that may arise in front of Primark to meet global standard requirement
As per the opinion of Omri, Frikha and Bouraoui, (2015), it is clearly examined that
there are ample number of factors which might affect the overall business functions. While doing
business functions managers of the company face cultural diversity, semi skilled employees,
language barriers, workforce diversity, legal policies and regulations and many more are the
common problems and issues face by managers of Primark while doing business expansion. It
has been analysed that all these issues affect the smooth functioning of the company in a

negative manner if not adopted in an effective manner. Therefore, it is very essential for the
management team of the company that they must adopt all the legal policies appropriately.
Adoption of all the government laws effectively, managers of the company will be able to reduce
negative issues while meeting the global standards.
Changes that management of Primark needs to make within HRM practices for meeting
global requirements
As per the thought of Deresky, (2017), it is said that globalisation highly affects the
overall HRM functions or practices of the company in a negative manner. It is said that one
of the most effective method which can be used by companies while doing business
expansion is that they can build virtual teams. With the aid of virtual team, managers of the
company can effectively communicate with other members of the organisation who mainly
located outside the country boundaries. It has been said that the company will gain positive
results with the help of this. In addition to this, managers are required to modify there
strategies and policies according to the international marketplace so that they can attain
goals and objectives in an effective manner. In context of HRM practices, it is very essential
for the management team to create healthy and positive working environment, use 360
degree performance appraisal method, fair working environment and many more so that
they can enhance the performance of staff members in an effective manner.
Impact of globalisation on fund allocation
According to Hillary, R. ed., (2017) Globalisation is the aspect which is about
expansion of business activities beyond domestic boundaries. This aspect has direct impact
over the power of management in respect of the fund allocation because the nature of factors
and their impact is different in comparison to domestic. This has negative impact over
allocation process without carrying out proper research. Therefore, it has been said that
globalisation highly affects the fund or resource allocation, reason behind this is that while
doing business expansion various types of resources are required by the company so that
they can perform their work in an effective manner.
Impact of globalisation on financial accounting
According to Huntington, J., (2018) Globalisation allows the organisation the
business activities beyond domestic boundaries. The accounting provisions has different at

different nation which have impact over the overall financial accounting of the organisation.
Now, this has no impact after providence of common accounting principles by IASB and
IFRS. This will allows in proper application of the concept of financial accounting.
Produce a project management plan
Project management plan is a confidential document which is developed by the
management team of the company. It refers to the blueprint of each and every activity which
is going to be undertake within a year. In order to perform every activity in an effective
manner, various strategies are going to be formulated. With the help of project management
plan, team members of the company will be able to perform their task effectively and within
specific period of time (Crane and Matten, 2016). In the context of present research,
investigator has developed PMP so that they can perform their functions in an effective
manner. Some of the major elements are as follows:
Cost: For every project, financial resource plays very essential role in order to conduct
the research in an effective manner. This is the backbone of every research as without
money activities can not be performed successfully. There are various types of cost
incurred in the project which includes operation cost, production cost, R&D cost and
many more. In the present research, total cost is around £350 in order to conduct the
research in an effective manner. Therefore, it is very essential for the researcher to
calculate the cost in an effective manner before conducting the research (Deresky,
2017). So that, funds can be collected and managed by the team within specific time
frame. With the help of sufficient amount of cost it is said that researcher will be able to
perform their investigation in an effective manner on the topic of impact of globalisation
on different functions of Primark. In addition to this, it has been identified that it is
essential for Primark to undertake cost in best effective manner as slight imbalance in
cost lead entity towards ineffective business operations such as production,
manufacturing and transportation. Thus, it is essential for Primark manager to formulate
proper budget as to operate operational functions of entity in a well defined and effective
manner.
Scope: Scope of the present research has a wide range of scope, as with the help of
which they get new directions and opportunities at the marketplace. Each and every
project have some scope which as a result provide them opportunities. Before conducting

the research, it is very essential to define its scope. Along with this, scope of this
research is vast which provide ample number of opportunities while adopting
globalisation process. The present research will be able to provide wide range of benefits
to the other individual who will conduct the research on similar sector or topic in near
future. In this, it is essential for Primark research and development unit to effectively
analyse all the essential components within globalisation as to undertake use of wide
range of opportunities and expand growth of business in a well defined manner. In
addition to this, by expanding scope of business Primark can effectively able to gain
advantage of large base of opportunities that are present in marketplace that further guide
company towards high profitability and productivity.
Quality: Quality is the another important element which need to be considered by
researcher while conducting this research in an effective manner. It is very essential to
maintain the quality of work done by researcher which as a result produce positive
outcome. In the present research, investigator needs to maintain the quality of all
gathered information so that they can produce positive results within given time frame.
Quality is an important concept that are required to be effectively consider by Primark
while conducting their production and manufacturing process. By offering quality
products as well as services Primark can not only able to ensure maximum growth but
also can ensure high competitive advancements compared to other competitors.
Communication: In order to conduct the research effectively and positively it is very
important for the investigator to communicate with their team members on a regular
basis. With the help of proper communication, researcher will be able to maintain
coordination among team mates. Along with this, information can easily be transfer from
one person to another within stipulated time period. In the present research, investigator
adopt various medium of communication such as regular meeting, email, messages and
many more so that all the required information will be transferred in an effective manner
to each other. In context with Primark, it is essential for organisation to ensure well
effective communication process in their workplace structure. This will not only lead
smooth work efficiency but also benefit company to resolve issues and problems of
organisational workplace structure in a well defined and effective manner. This stimulate
company towards ensuring high productivity and profitability.
