INTRODUCTION
Every organisation can achieve its long term sustainability in competitive market when
they have skilled and talented staff who are capable to do maximum in their efforts towards
achievement of organizational goals and objectives. Furthermore, expanding business at
international market and meet their needs requires maximum support from skilled and
knowledgeable employees. Therefore, it is important for an organization to conduct training,
selection and recruitment programs at workplace and make actions to improve these programs on
the basis of international requirements. Nestle, a multinational company which is engaged in
providing multiple range of products including baby food, confectionary items, dairy products
and many more. It was established in the year 1866 currently having headquartered in Vevey,
Switzerland. The report covers aims and objectives of Nestle which is based on capturing large
market share. The report also discusses the project management plan, work breakdown structure
and Gantt chart, research methodology, data collection and analysis, an appropriate
recommendations and conclusion. These all aspects assist Nestle to make relevant decision to
fulfill global needs.
Background of research
Nestle is conducting a research by taking support from a researcher on the topic of how
the multinational companies enhances its recruitment, selection and training programs to meet
customers’ needs and requirements. The company currently manufactures and sells food
products, clothes, dairy items and many more due to which their existing customer base is high
(Baylis, Smith and Owens, 2017).
Purpose of research
The main purpose behind carrying out current research by Nestle is to increase market
share and profitability due to which they try to enhance their existing recruitment and selection
as well as training programs to meet international needs and requirements. It helps the researcher
to understand the significance of improving HR practices within an organisation.

P1) Aims and Objectives of research
Nestle is currently enlisting the candidates whose qualifications and skills meet their
vacant job position. After enlisting, certain procedures are followed such as interview, group
discussion etc. These ensures them to get a candidate who are capable to meet the expectations
of an organisation. After recruiting and selecting, training programs is conducted to improve
their existing skills and capacity to work in more effective and efficient way.
Aim-
The aim of the present research project is to examine “What multinational companies
need to take actions to improves recruitment, selection and training programs so that
international requirements can be meet ”. By making improvements in recruitment process
includes shortlisting only those candidates who are having sufficient knowledge and
qualification to be an employee in Nestle. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of
performance given by a candidate during recruitment process. Along with this, training programs
provides an opportunity to employees to convert their weaknesses into strengths by improving
their potentiality. This all benefits the company to perform well in both domestic and
international market. This results in meeting global needs.
Objectives
To acquiring knowledge regarding concept of globalisation, recruitment, selection and
training.
To identify ways through which Nestle can improve selection, recruitment and training
programs for their staff.
To determine importance of employee's recruitment, selection and training for Nestle.
To identify strategies for achieving international requirements within given time period.

PMP is a documentation containing the details of all elements requires in execution of pre-
determined project of an organization. Thus, it is important for a researcher to prepare such kind
of document so as to make better coordination with employees, customers and team mates. These
aspects are briefly described in the context of project of Nestle and researcher are given as under:
Scope- It refers to the possibilities of gaining something by researcher or an organisation
at the end of research programs. In the context of Nestle, getting knowledge about the
importance of different HR practices such as recruitment, selection and training
programs makes easy to assist manager of Nestle to make decision whether to focus on
improvement of such programs or not. Furthermore, researcher also have wider scope
due to gaining knowledge of importance of training programs which makes easy for
them to assist their staff to serve client in more effective way (Brewster and Hegewisch,
2017).
Cost- It is the amount which is required to execute research activities or implementation
of HR practices within an organisation. In the context of Nestle, £20000 is required to
incur by company to conduct and improve recruitment, selection and training programs.
For example, purchase of modern equipment’s, hiring trainer, advertising of vacant job
etc. requires huge cost to incur. On the other side, the researcher estimates £4000 to
incur in order to execute different research activities which includes selection of research
methods and techniques, data collection and analysis etc.

Time- It is the time scale within which all desired activities are aimed to complete by
researcher as well as an organization to receive maximum positive results. In the context
of Nestle, around 4-5 weeks are required to undertake and improve recruitment, selection
and training programs whereas the investigator have estimated 10 weeks to carry out all
research activities in more effective way.
Quality- It refers to a measure of excellence in completing the research as well as the
project activities. Therefore, project manager should collect the qualitative data in the
form of questionnaire, which will help towards completing the project activities on time.
It is related with measure of excellence in carrying out an effective research as well as
company’s activities. In the context of Nestle, the using of quality equipment during
training programs, knowledgeable trainer etc. brings out quality outcome to an
organisation. In the context of Researcher, using of primary data in which questionnaire
technique will used brings out most reliable result which increases the effectiveness of
decision made by Nestle to meet global needs (Dittmar, 2015).
Communication- It refers to the procedure of sharing information with each other who
are connected to the present project. In the context of Nestle, conducting meeting, video
conferencing, mailing etc. are adopted to communicate their stakeholders regarding their
decisions to meet global needs. In the context of Researcher, using of questionnaire,
telephones, mails etc. are more useful in order to communicate with the selected
respondents in more effective way.
Risk- It is associated with the activities executed by researcher and Nestle. In the context
of Nestle, the risk may have associated with increased cost of company due to delay in
hiring skilled and experienced candidates, inappropriate planning, Lack of employees to
work on using digital platform may also bring company backward from their rivals. In
