INTRODUCTION
The aim of the current report is to develop a deep understating of the accommodation
services within hospitality industry. The present study will highlight the importance of
accommodation service within hospitality industry and the chosen hotel for the present study is
Marriott which is one of the top hotels in UK and deal at different location due to its high quality
services at reasonable rates.
Further, the report will define the scale and size of an accommodation services within
hospitality industry and then describe different forms of ownership within accommodation
services. Moreover, the study will present role of grading, classification system during booking.
Also, it defines the functions of front office and key roles of the same within Marriott hotel.
Beside this, report will describe the role of housekeeping department and assess the importance
of forecasting linen stock within a business.

Presenting the scale and size of the accommodation services within hospitality industry
The term accommodation refers to the room, building and lodging that provides shelter
for a person so that they can stay, sleep and live. In the context of hospitality industry, the term is
used for hotel, resort and hostel that provides rooms to their customers. There are different scale
and scope of an accommodation service like:
Luxury hotels are also known as world-class hotels and their target is to attract top
business executives, entertainment celebrities and wealthy clients due to its high offerings. Under
this, only 4 to 5 star hotels described (Stefko and et.al., 2020). Hotels fall under this category
provide different services like, swimming pool, complimentary Wi-Fi, business centre, onsite
dining, fitness centre etc. There are many luxury hotels in UK which includes Palms, Las Vegas,
Westin Excelsior, Rome.
Mid-range hotels featured bigger rooms as compared to budget hotels in which more
amenities included. Therefore, it can be stated that mid-range hotels are neither most expensive
nor the cheapest. In this, hotels provide uniformed service, food and beverage room service, in-
room entertainment and many more services. Therefore, it is analyzed that such hotels are the
