INTRODUCTION
Event management is defined as a process to execute of project management with motive
of generating and developing various actions and activities that complete an overall set of event.
Trade show, conference, meetings, parties etc. are some types of events which are organised to
make plans and implement of actions for planning, organising, managing and controlling all
phase of events which are accommodation, food arrangement etc. in an organised manner for
completing an event successfully (Bokelberg and et. al., 2019). The existing report is written
from perspective of Kuoni Destination management which operates its business in event industry
and it is based in London. The main focus of organisation is to increase their number of
operations and customer base through entering into overseas market. Moreover, report highlights
on categories and dimension of event and use of specific example to categorise event to analyse
current trends and features of upcoming event sector. Management roles within an event industry
will also be included in the report. In last, management skills and appropriate measures for a safe
event is focused at approaching different activities.
TASK 1
P1 Examine of different dimension and categories of events with illustrate of instances
Events are completed by engaging large number of individuals or teams that work for a
specific purpose at a similar place. Entertainment, trade show and culture celebration etc.
are some example of events that are conducted by Kuoni Destination management through
analysing and monitoring international aspect for entering into international market. It also
results that all customers are more satisfied as Kuoni management complete its work by
understanding dimension of event. Some categories for events are mention as follow:
Private events- The main purpose for private events is to organise and conduct an event
for a personal specific purpose in which close friends and family member of an individual
are invited ( Brown and et. al., 2019). As compare to other events, private events as guest
are limited and almost many of them recognise each other. Weddings, formal office
meeting and birthday are example of a private event.

Corporate event- This type of events are managed and organised by companies or
entrepreneurs with a aim of formulating professional relations with the stakeholders of
company. The main purpose for organising corporate events is to generate loyalty and to
develop positive perception about organisation in front of stakeholders This results it is
easy for Kuoni Destination management to generate better future results in upcoming
period. Further, corporate event are different from other event as it is focused to conduct
formal meetings, promotion of organisational products and services and to make seminar
for improving goodwill of company (Emery and et. al., 2016). Workshop, training session,
business dinner and many more are example of corporate events.
Charity event- Social organisation and NGO are the companies which organise and
manage charity event for improving the society standards. This refers that organisation
perform events to deal with challenges which impacts on performance of society. So all the
money which is collected through charity events is invest for welfare of public. Cycling,
Marathon and auctions are example of charity event. Moreover, it is different from other
events because it is organised with purpose of improving society standards. On other side,
another event are designed for their own methods that are for their own purpose.
Beside all this categories events, are also necessary for Kuoni destination management that
consider different dimensions for making effective planning that is used to increase
strength and build stronger relationship with customers for fulfil of requirements and needs
of customers properly. Some different dimensions for events are as follow:
Anticipation- Kuoni destination management announce and organise an event in a
way which generate high level of excitement for individuals through attracting
more individuals by developing creative and unique design for participate in event
(Harmeling and Palmatier, 2016). This result more individuals are interested to
attend the event that ensure event is managed successfully.
Arrival- With event management team of Kuoni Destination management it must
create a safe accommodation place for participants that provides better view and
satisfy to all audience and clients.
Atmosphere- From perspective of event organiser team members who are engage
to select right location for event also ensure that requirement of audience must be
fulfilled and it focus to layout locations which is assess by audience easily.
