INTRODUCTION
The management practises of human resource is basically a strategic approach or method
to manage the people within an organization to get the competitive benefits. The management
involves those activities which assist to improve the performance of employees to perform the
task for organization (Banfield. Kay and Royles. 2018). M&S is a multinational company uses to
retail the clothing as well as home and food products. The company is using the practise to
manage the performance of its employees. This report will evaluate the definition, analysis and
evaluation of performance management models with respective benefit's ans drawbacks. Further
this will determine the approaches which assist to manage and drive the higher performance
level. With the respective role of managers in the performance. Also, the M&S ability of
reviewing the outline their performance in the company.

Performance management models
The performance management is a process that has four stages planning the things to
perform, monitoring the task which are being performed and further make efforts to develop the
individual and then provide adequate rewards to them (Brewster and et. al., 2016).

This is one of the best performance management tool mostly undertaken by small businesses and
medium size organization. In this performance management process involves checking very
frequently to inspect the quality and errors which are being make by people in the organisation.
This method is also comes with awful benefits which are providing a more cleared and real-time
visual percept on efficient people and people with issues. The managers and the employees of the
company are able to fix the goal within the performance appraisal.
The Bamboo HR is an effective approach as organization can improve their employees
performance by checking their individual task regularly and repeatedly (Gilmore. and Williams.,
2013). The employees are also being active and more efficient in their individual work than the
company will make use of this approach. This approach is good in small and medium type of

organization as employees are less in this organization so their performance is being improved
by using this approach.
Advantages
When the human resource of an organization use this approach then they can receive the
feedback from all the direction. The employees are being self-motivated as people are also
interested to improve their performance. The human resource management can also able to
manage the compensation as per the individual performance.
Disadvantages
As the managers are working inflexible because they are promoting the performance of
specific people. All the people are not provided equal training to improve their performance and
the rewards are also provided in the same manner. In this the quality of group action are less so
the work is less coordinative and all are also not information for the task.
General appraisal
This is a performance enhancement program in which ongoing communication between the
employees and the management people throughout the time. This appraisal is done after the
meeting of the employees and the managers regarding the completion of the task. Further, the
management people give review of the aims and objective that has to be accomplished. The
managers are also recommended the plans of development as well as program to train the people
to enhance their skills so that their performance get improved.
In this process of performance management the employees are provided regular training
so that employees can get better skills and knowledge that will help themselves in improvement
of performance. This is common style to improve the performance many companies are making
use of this in different field. People are being motivated in the organization when this approach
is being used. All are being comfortable with this theory of improvement of performance, as
employees are getting career development opportunity.
Advantages
This assist to put the right people at right place with the respective strength and weakness of the
individual. This approach is to enhance the performance of employees as they will provide their
working review so this will lead to increase the productivity through improve in the
