products, clothing etc. It provide its services in many different countries. Under mention report
will be discuss about the aims and objectives of project (Ardichvili and et. al., 2012). In given
report will be discuss about project management plan that cover the different aspects such as
risk, time, scope, communication etc. Small – scale investigation through applying the
quantitative and qualitative research methods for meeting with the objectives and aims of project
will be discussed here. There will be mention about the Gantt chart and Work Breakdown
structure that help in provide the proper framework as well as the stages to complete the project.
TASK 1
P1 Project aims and objectives
Globalisation is an ongoing procedure that is connecting neighbourhoods, regions, people

P2 Project management plan that covers aspects of scope, quality, risk, resources and
communication
Project management plan
It is a formal, approved document which defines that the project and its functions that the
project is monitored, controlled and executed. This document can be a detailed document or
summary which may be include baselines (Cooke, 2012). Marks & Spencer, large company
which do its business on global or international level and it make project management plan to

ethical influences on international level. There are four phases of project management, initiation
and planning, execution, project monitoring and control and project closing which help M&C to
run its business properly. These four factors consists of tasks, activities, milestones,
dependencies and resources. If M&C do project management for its any project, it follow some
steps like,
Initiating- This is the first step in this the Comoran determine the nature and scope of the
project and this stage is not performed well because things are not clear related the project. This
stage include ideas, goal, duration, direction, components, stakeholder analysis, financial
analysis and swot analysis (Florea, Cheung and Herndon, 2013).

planning is mainly consists of risk planning, developing the budget, selecting the planning team
and developing the scope statement.
Executing- Here it is important to know that the planned terms that need to be executed
or not. This phase is include proper allocation, co-ordination and proper management of human
resources and other resources which are need in the project management (Idowu and et. al.,
2013).
Monitoring and controlling- This include measuring the project activities and project
variables like cost, effort and scope etc. In M&C in this process it also provide feedback which
use for implementing to correct, protect, monitor and control actions which brigs compliances
within the project management plan. If there are any change is occur in project and in planning it
help the company to control its resources and these changes.
Closing- It include two factor, first is market report that tells about previous factors that
the process which is done through these factors are correct and project for which project
management plan is done are run globally or not. The second element is project review which is
related to the human resource like members of the team. They meet and put their own inputs
regarding the implementation of the project (Ioannou and Serafeim, 2012).
In M&S the manger designed the project management plan which is effective and
essential and complete all activities related to this plan in given period of time. There are various
components of project management plan which is used by the manger in project management
planning , they are as following:
Cost- It is related to the budget of the project that how much cost is invest in the project.
It is divided in three part when a company do project management plan like, capital items,
expenses items and labour.
Scope- This is important factor which is related to the project. In the M&C search scope
for its project that the project is run forward in the future or not. Globalization help in this
because it has large scope to support a company to increase or expand its marketing functions
and sales or revenue.
Time- It is the main component for the project management plan. The mangers of M&C
if complete the project on time, it is beneficial for the company. It achieve its objective on time.
Quality- It is the main aspect which help the manger to implement project by using their
knowledge and skills and make the quality of it effective and essential. It provide large number

and developing the scope statement.

customer if M&C the project goals and objective are present with good quality and in
appropriate manners towards the customers.
Communication- It can be verbal and written or face to face and M&C can use these
various channels for communication which help the manger in completing all activities of project
in a specific time (Isaak, 2017).
Risk- This is related to the manger's roles and responsibilities if he do and perform better
all the work and activities which is related to the project then risk is less. The main risk in the
project is finance and time because project are large.
Resources-This is the most important factor in PMP which is always required in the
project. These resources can be human resources and machineries or equipments.
P3 Work Breakdown Structure and Gantt chart to provide stages and time frames
These structures are use for planning a project and providing a roadmap or timefrmaes for
developing the plan.
Work break down Structure
It is a key project to deliver the team's work in manageable sections. The main purpose of
it is to reduce the difficult and complicated activities within a task or project. It help the project
managers because they can effectively analyse the task or project when there are complexity
increase. The should be independent, clear and measurable.
In M&C, the elements of work breakdown structure are product, data, service or
combination of them. It provide necessary framework for cost investigating and control or
monitor the providing guidance related to the schedule development. WBS organized primary
products for the project instead of planned action (Long, 2013). It provide a frameworks and
timescales to the costs of the planned action and help in map requirements which are needed for
completion of a project management plan.
Gantt Chart
It is a horizontal bar chart which is developed by Henary L. Gantt in 1917 for production
control. This is frequently used in project management to coordinate plan and tracking specific
tasks within the projects. In this chart the horizontal axis are represented the total span of the
project, broken down in to increments and the vertical axis represents the tasks that make up then
project by new software and research. Horizon bars are refers varying lengths, sequence, timing
and each task time span.

dependencies. It stores more information about tasks and procedures. This chart is timeline that
is used as a tool in the project which is use for run the business (Khan and et. al., 2015).
TASK 2
P4 Small- scale investigation through applying quantitative and qualitative investigation methods
Research methodology is techniques and the process to determine. Select and also
analyse information and data related to the specific topic. It permits a researcher to reliability as
well as validity of the study. The research methodology is theoretical and systematic analysis of
methods which are applied to area of study. Under this, it comprises theoretical analysis of
principles and methods which are related to the knowledge.
Research methods is an effective tool for conduct an investigation. It can be quantitative
and qualitative. The detailed explanation of these two different research methods are mention
below:
Qualitative method- This method examines the numerical data by using the fantastical
tools for analyse the collected data or information. It is helpful in measuring the variables and
also relationship among them. Its main aim is to examine the quantity of the project. Under this,
data is measured in terms of numeric and mathematical. It gives fundamental connection among
the mathematical expression and the empirical observation of the quantitative relationships.
Quantitative method- It represents the non- quantitative kind of analysis. It is gathering,
analysis and also interpreting the data through observation. It is subjective in nature and uses the
various methods of collecting the information through focus groups, in- depth interviews. Under
this, data is measures in the form of figures and theoretical perspectives (Luthans and Doh,
2012).
Data collection refers to procedure of collecting as well as measuring the information ton
variables of the interest in a proper manner. The main purpose of collecting the data is to
conducting an investigation in a systematic manner. Under this, researcher gather the relevant
data as well as information related to specific topic for getting the positive outcomes. There are
two different methods of data collection:
Primary- This data is original and it is collected for the first time or never used before. In
