This will be helpful to expand small-scalebusiness to large scale and achieve huge customer base as well. Digital technology makes easy tomanagement to manage and monitor all business functions in an appropriate manner that willbring profitable result to company. Continental Consulting Ltd., a research and businessconsultancy firm in London is selected for the purpose of preparing this assignment report. Theproject explaining the aim and objectives of an organisation regarding adoption of digitaltechnology. In addition with this, project management plan, breakdown structure, Gantt chart,small-scale research, uses of appropriate tools and techniques, recommendation are discussedunder this report (Basu, 2014).TASK 1P1:Digital technology is contributing maximum in the development of business operationswhich drives business to achieve growth and success within shorter period of time. As anorganisation always tries to put efforts in achieving desired goals and objectives thusdigitalisation gives maximum support to company in achieving them within pre-determined timeperiod. Before this, it is important for every organisation to identify its aim and objectives whichhelp in providing proper guidance and direction to their workforce to perform in an optimummanner so as to achieve maximum possible output. The present report is based on the impact ofdigital technology in the business functions and operations. The main objective of report is toadoption of digital technology in order to achieve expansion and growth of small businessorganisation. At present times, almost every organisation tries to implement digital technology intheir business operations so as to bring efficiency and productivity (Brady and Davies, 2014). Background of the project:Continental Consulting Ltd. is an organisation facilitating other companies inreconstructing their business operations methods in order to maximise their efficiency andproductivity level. The main aim of company is to update the infrastructure and other equipments1

used in execution of business activities so as to achieve better possible result. ContinentalConsulting Ltd. encourages small as well as medium sized business to adopt digital technologyin order to bring easiness in their work procedure that will ensure company getting profitableresult. The CEO of such organisation felt that the business has lots its competitiveness amongtheir rivals and still the company are not giving much efforts in modifying or upgrading thebusiness process which in results losing stability in competitive market. There are other smallentities who are always trying to bring new ideas and methods which help them in capturinglarge market share. Therefore, to overcome such weaknesses and maintaining their strong presence incompetitive market, CEO of company decides to implement digital technology in their businessoperations which facilitate them in achieving long term objectives. There are various types ofvariation which they need to bring in enterprise regarding the establishment of useful channels ofdistribution, application of online system of company in order to attract large number ofcustomers (Gambles, 2017).Research Aim: “Impact of digital technology supporting small business growth and innovation: A casestudy of Continental Consulting Limited”.Digital technology includes social media, e-commerce, TV Advertisement etc. which attracts lots of customers towards company's productsand services across worldwide.Research objectives:To evaluate the transformative potential of digital technology.To focus on adoption and usage of technology that has been disruptive or transformativebut also replicable for other enterprise with low barriers to uptake.To focusing on barriers and enablers to embedding, using and implementing technologywith an enterprise.Research Questions:What are the changes that has been identified after implementation of digital technologyin business operation?Is there any requirements of any learning programs for workers of Continental consultingLtd.?What are the perception of workers on up-gradation of existing technology?2

What are the difficulties faced by manages while implementation of Digitalisation inbusiness operation?P2:It is a formal kind of document which is essentially required to maintain by manager soas to manage and monitor all business activities executed under specific project. It describes anactivities which is required to set up, coordinate, integrate and explaining the various activities ofplanning. Such project management plan contains the information related with how the projectsis monitored, executed, controlled and modification according to the changing environment. It isalso known as communication wheel which assist stakeholders to know actual position of theproject on timely basis (Hwang and Ng, 2013). The project manager is held responsible toprepare an effective project management plan which includes information related withidentification of cost, time, risk and many more which are useful in completion of project.Following are some aspects which are included in project management plan:Scope: The adoption of digital technology is necessary requirement of ever business as itwill be more helpful in enhancing efficiency and productivity level of an organization. It makeseasy for management to manage and monitor the business activities in such an effective mannerthat will help in receiving maximum level of output. Digital technology includes onlinemarketing, modern systems such as MIS, updated and latest equipment and infrastructure etc.which facilitate Continental Consulting Ltd. in achieving pre-decided goals and objectives withingiven time frame. Therefore, the scope of implementation of digital technology is wider as ithelp in assisting company in enhancing all aspects related with the operation, production,dispersion, promotion and contraction through the application of digitization.Cost: It is crucial aspect which decides that whether digital technology could beimplemented in successful manner or not. It is highly based on such aspect due to which theproject manager need to first prepare budget in which allocation of cost should be madeaccording to the effectiveness of different activities (Khan and Lund-Thomsen, 2011). At theinitial stage, huge amount of money shall required to be invested in enhancing the skills andcapabilities of workforce to work on using digital technology that will further help them inincreasing their efficiency and performance level. For this, a budget is required to be preparedshowing total cost that will be invested in completion of project. It is described under below:3
