The taken company for this assignment report is the Continentalconsulting limited. The firm is providing consultancy and research services in the UnitedKingdom. This report aims to explain the background, purpose and objectives of the businessprojects and develop a proper plan for project management which includes characteristic of cost,time, scope, quality, risk, communication, and resources of the taken project. Also a WBS(Workbreakdown structure) and Gantt chart will be developed to provide time period and stages forcompleting the chosen project. This report will also apply the qualitative and quantitativeresearch methods using research data, and techniques for the objectives of chosen project. In theend, value of doing the research to fulfil the determined objectives for increasing the learningalong with performance.1: Explain background, purpose and key objectives of the chosen project.Project management is the process of managing the skills, activity, informationknowledge and experiences which are necessary for attaining the objectives of the firm. Thetools and techniques used in project management must be implemented systematically by thecompany for successful execution. Generally scope of a project depends upon three things whichare time, cost and quality (Adzic, 2011).Continental Consulting Limited is small sized company in UK who is providingconsultancy and research services to other small companies for making changes in the processesof business. Continental consulting limited has 22 employees and is situated in United Kingdomfor the last 8 years. Company is making attempts to expand their business activities andoperations to a large extent for achieving sustainability and profit in the UK market. Themanagement of Continental consulting limited has taken decision to use latest digitaltechnologies like mobile technology, AI, social media platforms etc. These technological up-gradations will drive the company to achieve their goals and objectives in a determined time forgiving tough competition to its rivals.

Topic:“Impact of Digital Technology in supporting small business growth and innovation”.According to the given scenario, Technological changes should be used by companiesregardless of their size for achieving the growth. Computerised technology enables workers toperform their assigned task in minimum time and reduced cost (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018).It allows an organisation to get a competitive advantage in the market for competing with therivals in an effective and efficient way.Aim:“Impact of implementing the mobile technology for supporting the growth andinnovation in the small businesses”.The main aim of preparing this report is to study the effectiveness of using mobiletechnology in the operations Continental Consulting Limited for increasing the efficiency ofemployees and company.Research objectivesTo identify the basic concept of using mobile technology as a marketing tool inContinental Consulting Ltd.To analyse the importance of mobile technology for achieving the growth and expansionin the operations of Continental Consulting Ltd.To determine the relationship between mobile technology and growth and innovation ofthe continental consulting limited.Research questions1.What are the basic concept of using mobile technology as a marketing tool in ContinentalConsulting Ltd.?2.What are the the importance of mobile technology for achieving the growth andexpansion in the operations of Continental Consulting Ltd.?3.What is the relationship between mobile technology and growth and innovation of thecontinental consulting limited.?2: Produce a project management plan which involves various aspects of cost, scope, time,quality, communication, risk and resources of the project.Project may be successfully performed when management have proper knowledge andefficiency to create a plan of project management. It includes various type of factors such as thesize and quality of project along with its scope and risk (Brady and Davies, 2014). All thiselements are essentially considered by the organisation at the time of decision making on

implementation of modern techniques in operational activities. Project plan provide assistance tomanagement in defining roles and responsibilities to their employees who are involved inperforming the project activities. So that, organisation wants to attract morecustomers towards their services for this, they have to recruit capable employees who haveknowledge of dealing with customers at different situations. Management of the firm canenhance the effectiveness in services by providing training programmes to their employeesregarding the mobile technology.Risk: Risk always involves in almost every project activities which can effect theexpected results of the company. Therefore, Companies should need to handle such risks byimagining the risks and situations which can arise during the business operations. Themanagement of Continental Consulting Ltd. Is responsible for determining such risks which areassociated with the less funds, less employees support, new strategies of competitors etc. andprepare a plan accordingly. The low quality knowledge of workers in using the mobiletechnology can negatively effects the performance and operations of Continental Consulting Ltd.These effects can be reduced by providing necessary technical training and learning programs tothe employees before initiating such projects (Evans, 2012).Communication: It is a required factor which is helpful for both end users and workersfor understanding the activities of the projects of Continental Consulting Ltd.
