INTRODUCTIONIn today’s globalisation ear there is a rapid changing development in hospitality industry asto handle the importance of sustainability as it is helpful in development of hotel industry by havingmaximum contribution in management and operation of hotel. This will include the impact from allenvironmental, social and economic factors. Sustainability is the one of the major issues that iscurrently faced by the world. There is a drastic impact on environment by the hotel industry by theconsumption of energy and water consumption of durable goods and the creation of hazardouswaste. For the HVAC operation, there is heavy consumption of energy through lighting, fuel andother needs of power. Various resource are used for the management of various works in hotelindustry such as water is mainly use in bathrooms, laundry and food and beverages along with otheroperation that are generally performed. There is the more generation of hazardous waste as in formof disposal papers, bulbs, furniture and other appliances. In the terms of economic developmentpeople in hospitality industry still not aware of concept of sustainable management as they are notdealing with proper waste management. But in the term of social front there is major shift indevelopment of CSR activities as to achieve the sustainable goals. The company has already takenvarious step along with the use of energy, water, waste managements, transformation and corporatesocial responsibility. This reports consist all about the managing the sustainable development ofresources in hospitality industry. For the further evaluation of managing sustainability the hotelGlobal grange limited has been chosen.ASSESSMENT 1As the concept of sustainable stability has been developed in the year 1970. there was a firstmeeting in year 1972 having international impact of activities of human and their impact on humanrace as well as environment. As featured in report” our common future” it was quoted as theeconomic development can be escaped but have the change off course as argy are also in the planetsof ecology. So now the concept of sustainable development so here is not a dream relateddevelopment. As there is concern about eco friendly environmental practices popularity, there issustainable increase in and the mangers and leaders of hotel industry are continuously having theexpansion of knowledge regarding the concept of sustainable development. There is the requirementof professionalism in the term of venue and event service professionals(Miller and D.V, 2017).There are many hotel which are budget friendly and trying to more luxurious by taking steps in theirpractices to make their business more sustainable with period of time. green hotel will lead to the development of concept of sustainability by the proper management ofenergy conservation, water, waste management of resources, transportation and corporate socialresponsibilities.Global grange limited hotel is the one which have the introduction of company andenvironment service before the development of its global strategy. The company have alreadyidentified the importance of green environment and have the encouragement among the staffmembers about attaining the social responsibility(Mwangi, 2015.). The company had contributed tohave the charitable program as to support the education and development and health program foryouth. There company has adopted the energy save idea by taking the initiative of “Hybrid SuitsHotel” as to accept idea of energy saving of Lexus suite hybrid. The hotel has also promoted locallysources furniture, drapes of recycled polyester and recycled concrete and glass Ice stone countertops. The hotel also steep in idea of window in which there is maximum allowed to have naturallight so that there can be reduction in use of artificial light. The rooms of the hotels consist of theflorescent lights and eco friendly fabrics. The hotel is also using the bio dynamic fuel and propercomposting of excess food and leftover. So the company is looking more forward for sustainablemanagement rather than the implementation of global strategy to compete in market. There company has makecertain rule and regulation before the implementation of globalstrategies as to develop the and manage sustainably in working of the hotel in competitive world.The company has already taken various step along with use of energy, water, waste management ,transformation and corporate social responsibility(Othman and Lembang, 2017).Now have the discussion in deep related to all the factor that will help in managing thesustainability in the hotel industry.The British council in united kingdom is international organisation for relationship andculture and educational opportunities. The business activities have impact on environment whichshould be minimize as major responsibility of company. The British council is having commitmentto-Reviewing, understanding and have controlling the level of environmental impact raised from hotelindustry. Ensuring that the activities complies and have relevance with international environmentallegislation. There should be improvement in environmental performance as to have reduction i useof energy, water and waste.
