1.1 Introduction
The proper management of the teams and groups of the organization helps in facilitating
the smooth performance of the businesses in the market. The key elements of the change in the
systems are derived through the motivated workforce and their collaborative actions depending
on the objectives of the business to function in the markets. The skills that helps the leaders in
effectively managing and motivating the workforce helps in maintaining the smooth functions
and the continuous improvements in the functioning of the business while operating in the
competitive markets.
1.2 Related to performance
Cavazotte, Moreno and Hickmann (2012) stated that the proper functioning of the
workforce is dependent on the leadership approach and the manner in which the personality of
the leaders affects the psychologies of the people towards work. Involving the employees and
encouraging the engagement of the same helps in maintaining the different levels of changes in
the systems of the business.
It is noticed that the word ‘Group’ has a wider meaning, which reflects a large amount of
people collaborating with one another to achieve the common goals of the organization. On the
other hand, the word ‘ Team’ is perceived in a more specific sense where the members in the
team helps and cooperates with one another to achieve the objectives of the people and thereby
achieve the larger goal of the organization. Thereby, Csikszentmihalyi and Wong (2014)
denoted that the proper functioning of the team helps in the micro level improvements in the

organization which is facilitated through a certain set of skills of the leader to motivate and keep
the workforce focused on their work. Management of the teams and the groups helps
organizations to bring in different levels of changes in the systems and the functioning of the
businesses in the market. There are a set of personality traits that are required to be adhered by
the managers or the leaders to bring in different levels of changes in the workforce’s
performance as per the objectives of the organization.
1.3 How to make manager as a superior performer
The empowerment of the employees and motivating them to bring in changes in the
systems helps the organizations to bring in considerations of the different levels of outputs as per
the objectives of the business in the market. The different activities that are undertaken by the
leaders help in undertaking the motivational activities and is aimed at maintaining a concern for
the welfare of the people. Communication with the employees will be helping the leaders of the
organization to identify the issues that are faced by the people and thereby formulate policies and
strategies that will be helping the leaders to bring in changes in the situation of the business.
According to the theory by Goleman, the leaders are required to undertake steps to facilitate the
continuous improvements in the approaches as per the needs of the organization and the
identification of the expectations of the employees. The vision of the leader and the identification
of the objectives of the organization help the same in facilitating the different ideas of changes in
the systems of the performance of the business. The vision of the leader plays an important part
in bringing forth changes in the systems and the situation of the organization in the market. On
the other end, the vision of the leader to bring in a competitive culture in the organization is
required to be communicated to the employees to make them aware of the aims and objectives of
the business. Therefore, communication is an important element that is required to be taken by

the leader of the organization to reach out the views and the ideas to the employees to bring in
changes in the situation of the organization in the market.
Csikszentmihalyi and Wong (2014) stated that the identification of the needs of the
employees and providing them with the same helps in enhancing the team functions of the
business. On the other hand, the motivation and training of the employees depending on the
identification of their individual’s needs helps in optimizing the skills of the workforce. It
facilitates the proper functioning of the employees as per the needs of the organizational
objectives to sustain in the markets. Mckee stated that the leaders and the HR of the organization
must make the candidates aware of the job role prior to the recruitments. It will be helping the
organization to hold good relations with the employees of the same through the transparency of
the policy. Zuffianò et al. (2013) stated that the different elements of the changes in the
functioning of the organization are dependent on the identification of the needs of the employees
while operating in the market.
The establishment of emotional intelligence will be helping the leaders to bring in
changes in the systems of the business as per the goals of the organization in the market. Katz,
Lazarsfeld & Roper (2017) stated that emotional intelligence helps the leaders to identify the
issues that are faced by the employees while operating on the objectives that are set by the
organization. The identification of the issues will be helping the leaders to bring in changes in
the systems of the functioning to facilitate the smooth functioning of the workforce. Emotional
intelligence will be helping the leaders top bring in the consideration of the different change in
the systems as per the requirements of the employees. It has helped the management of the
organizations to gain knowledge of the outputs of the varied decisions that are planned by the
businesses to bring in improvements in the situation of the same in the market. Hielregal stated

that the key elements of the change in organizational structure are facilitated through the
identification of the needs of the workforce and thereby facilitating them to undertake proper

helps in undertaking the smooth functioning of the organization as per the objectives of the same
while operating in the markets. Thereby the leaders must take steps to develop the elements of
trust and collaborative action among the team members to facilitate the proper functioning of the
team as per the changes that are planned by the organization in the market. Empathy is one of
the major elements through which the leader can identify and perceive the different levels of
issues that are faced by the employees while functioning in the organization. The identification
of the different levels of changes in the systems is undertaken through the empathetic approach
of the leaders as per the needs of the employees while operating in the markets. The different
levels of changes in the systems of the business are administered through the leadership approach
and the manner in which the approaches help in assisting the needs of the employees while
functioning in the markets.
The trustworthiness of the leaders is again an important aspect of the change as it helps
in enhancing the job satisfaction of the employees while performing as per the objectives of the
business. The principle of trustworthiness, as stated by Boyatzis, is important to determine the
proper functioning of the employees and their retention in the organizational structure. The
trustworthiness of the leaders also helps organizations to bring in changes in th4e systems and
the processes without facing resistances from the employees in the market. On the other hand,
Hopwood et al. (2012) stated that time management of the leaders play a major role in
identifying the different issues and thereby allocating the required time to make the team
functions more efficient and timely. Setting different objectives among the members of rte team

1.4 Conclusion
Therefore, the leaders play an important role in managing the team functions through the
identification of the issues that are faced by the employees and thereby delineating a solution for
the same to facilitate the smooth functioning of the business ventures in the market.
2. Competency 2- Managing conflicts
The management of the conflicts in the organizations helps in maintaining the smooth
functioning of the processes that are planned by the business in the market. The key elements of
the change in the systems are through the identification of the needs of the organization to
maintain a sustainable approach as per the objective of its growth. The leader of the
organizations play a major role while identifying the needs of the business and thereby assigning
the needful resources to facilitate the smooth functioning of the business processes. The
conflicts in the organization are dependent on the clash of ideas and the manner in which the
opinions of the people vary from person to person.
2.1 Introduction
Csikszentmihalyi and Wong (2014) started that the conflicts in the hierarchy affects the
decision making functions of the organization, whereas the conflicts in the workforce affects the
smooth functioning of the same and thereby it affects the productivity of the business in the
market. The key elements of the change in the systems of the business are dependent on the
functioning of the processes as per the objectives of the organization to sustain in the operating
