TITLE
To identify the effect of marketing and advertising strategies on brand image of entity: Case
study on Unilever.
TASK 1
1.1 Introduction
In modern era, marketing and advertising are considered as meeting the requirements of
customers by offering them valuable goods and services through utilisation of expertise of entity,
at the same time they are attaining goals of company. Advertising began with a work where
organisation is trying to established two-way communication with customers and increasing the
brand awareness. Aim of using advertising is to develop the consumer interest so that
organisation came to know about more needs about product. There are different methods which
can be used by organisation in increasing the awareness about products and services which are
provided by them (Bianchi, 2011). This present report is based on Unilever which is largest
company in UK. This entity is providing a huge number of products such as beverages, personal
care products, foods and many more. It is considered as world’s largest user goods and one of the
oldest multinational companies who is dealing with different factors. Advertisement of
mentioned firm is beneficial for them which supports in informing to people about the advantage
of own merchandises and innovations. It is also a way for organisation to engage with
consumer’s issues which are mattering for them.
The present research report is built on the to recognize the impact of advertisement and
marketing strategies in context of Unilever. In this context, investigator using several tools and
techniques so overall research can be conducted in effective manner. Moreover, some of the
techniques are which has been used by researcher are research approach, design, philosophies
etc. and these are discussed in detailed. Along with this some issues also have been identified
which is facing by organisation in order to maintain their brand image in competitive market. So
analysing these kinds of research will be supporting to organisation as well as customers, so that
entity can run their business functions smoothly.
1.2 Factors which are contributing in process of research
There are many factors and components which is helping to researcher in finding out an
appropriate topic so that he/she can conduct proper investigation. Some of the factors which
