INTRODUCTION
Marketing is the continuous process which is performed by various business
organisations for attracting more and more customer's. This is usually done by using various
marketing and promoting strategies. The major motive behind marketing is to sale and
profitability of the organisation. Marketing majorly includes- knowing the need and demand of
customer's and maintaining proper relationship with them. Various organisations are using
marketing essential to analyse and evaluate the latest market trends(Pike, 2015). This report will
majorly consist of two parts. In the first part various role of marketing function will be discussed.
The organisation chosen for this report is Beauty Giant which one of the biggest cosmetic
organisation of UK. In the second part the key responsibilities of the marketing function and its
inter relationship with other departments will be discussed. Marketing mix of the organisation
will also be discussed to analyse the market in the systematic manner.
TASK 1
P1 Roles and responsibilities of marketing function
According to Alexandra Twin, 2019 Marketing is the continuous process which is
undertaken by various organisations for the process of promoting the product and services. This
process involves advertising, selling and transferring the goods and services to the final
customer's. Marketing concept known as the philosophy which organisations use for analysing
the customer's needs with the motive of providing better satisfaction to them and also for
increasing the competition level in the market.
Marketing is the most important function for every business organisation. This is because
with the help of this department latest trends of the market can be known. The needs and
preferences of the potential customer's can be known by using the marketing department. The
marketing operation is very much responsible for taking logical decisions regarding the
operations and activities of the organisation. Proper use of various marketing function is also
essential for implementing new strategies and actions for the growth of the organisation. If the
organisation wants to introduce new and innovative products in the market than marketing
function can be used. As with the help of this each and every aspect of the market can be
analysed in the systematic and coordinated manner. Every organisation aims at increasing the
