Introduction
"AZAN" is a web app based where we will utilize the internet as the vehicle to deliver the
services. We will develop a program in which we will feed two formations, first information
will be related to the timings of the AZAN where the software will calculate the local time
with Greenwich Time and declare the time for the AZAN. Secondly, we will develop a
special compass which will show the direction of the Qibla with the help of GPS technology.
Marketing Plan
Research target market: The first and main task to do is to research the target audience for the
App, as this app mainly focuses calculating prayer time. Creating awareness about the app is
the main target. Defining details such as Demographic, psychographics, habits, lifestyle is
must.
Ways to promote app as recommended by Forbes (2015).
1. Go offline and try guerrilla marketing: Campaign your app where mass target
audience is present.
2. Blog: Topics that focuses on regular updates about Azan. The Manifest ( 2015)
3. Use social media: Engage your audience through social platform by proving
interesting information, so that multiple people click and share information provided.
4. Teasers: You can collect beta subscriptions through email submission by creating a
landing page before the app launches.
5. Video intro for your app: Creating a video for your app also proves your App’s
concept.
6. Pitch tech blogs: you can pitch for your app by creating an email list.
7. Ask for app reviews: ask for review of App by reviewing websites.
8. Contact writers in the niche: Finding people who want to write about your App and
the solution is provides.
9. Use Disqus or other content discovery tools: Discussion channels works tremendously
by getting the word out it brings people back to your App.
