Power in or around media
Media have high power at global media platform, with the access to over of more than
3.8 billion people who are consuming their content on daily basis (Power of Media, 2021).
Furthermore, the media companies have unique opportunities to make leverages with their scale
and pay for the positive impact on societal impact. The use of social media is initiative to explore
opportunities and come together for world's largest platform to address the challenges in current
pandemic and socio economic landscape (Raemy, Hellmueller and Beck, 2021). In the beginning
of 21st C, the use of global media was dominated by the different multinational companies whose
role is to explore the role of marketing of news and entertainment almost in every country. But
on the contrary the power of media have in or around inequality among those countries who have
economic and political power which have upheld the pattern of inequality and make a shape to
discourse and technological development. It is examined that inequality is addressed through
publicly, economic causes and implication to achieve often to make dominate the discourse.
Inequality in power in long term development and make between the countries in the context of
globalization (Paat and Markham, 2021).
Media have high power in society but at the same time, rediscovery of inequalities by
economists and other social scientists in different recent times to wider public society in different
challenges. In the context of power, media helps in build the sustainable media ecosystem,
having diversity and representation of content in different platform. In last the social cohesion
through entertainment, culture and sports in diversifying range of platform in media. Whereas, in
context of inequalities global north, south, east and west areas are concerned with information
network and communication protocol that are differently designed and operated by the private
and corporate entities (Why the media is a key dimension of global inequality, 2021).
Contemporary social issues with digital and social media
The impact of media and its power are discussed above which further highlights its
impact in mass media and become a means of communication that further extent to a humongous
audience in a small span of time. The use of society and lives are under the sway of media and
exhibited the use of reflection within the society (Plucker, McWilliams and Guo, 2021). Media
make an impact on different criminal justice policies and make a platform for public opinion,
