The potential candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their qualification and past
work experiences. Aspirants possessing a RHIT certificate, or Health Information degree in
management would be preferred. The candidates must be compatible with medical coding
and comprehend all the medical terminologies and health information recorded. The salary of
the medical records clerk should fall between $30,000 and $37,000, according to the
legislation made by the US government from September, 2018 (Perry et al., 2013).
The health care regulations and standards of the organization will be strictly followed

Job-specific duties and responsibilities: The Medical Record Clerk will be expected to
handle all the patient medical records. The clerk will assign the record numbers to specific
client cases, record the numbers and patient details, verify pre-existing records and deliver
the details whenever required. He or she will be responsible for managing all the consent
forms, handling patient information, recording them accurately and all the specific clerical
duties. If any queries arise regarding the patient records, the medical record keeper will be
asked to respond to those queries by retrieving information from the files and systems.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma, Knowledge of medical coding and terminologies
Preferred: RHIT certification, 2 years work experience
Credentials/Licenses/Degrees: No licensing is required.
