INTRODUCTION
Business environment is a dynamic and changing environment, hence it cannot perform
its activities in isolation, it has to deal with various different factors. Understanding and leading
prepares individuals to deal with the problems and issues and implementing the changes
adequately which leads the organisation to retain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
To incorporate the changes in the environment , the organisation follows different strategies and
theories that enables the organisation to optimistically allocate its resources and increase their
overall profitability and productivity (Moyer and Sun, 2021). This report is based on Morrisons,
which is the fourth largest supermarket chain in United Kingdom. It was founded in 1889 by
William Morrisons and headquarter is in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. This report
includes the impact of change on organisation strategy and operations. It also includes the ways
in which internal and external; drivers of change affect decision making and behaviour of
individual and team behaviour. It also determines different leadership approaches to deal with
the changes that are existing in order to attain a good market share.

organisation's strategy and operations.
Organisation changes refers to change in the current operation and functioning of an
organisation that can increase the productivity of an organisation. The impact of changes can be
positive and negative, the positive changes lead an organisation to increase their overall
efficiency and profitability of an organisation and helps in accomplishment of their goals and
objectives and vice versa. The changes can be internal factors and external factors, to implement
these changes adequately an organisation can use different strategies and tools that can drive
growth and success in the long run. With reference to Morrisons, Changes are an important for
company in the form of bringing innovations and upgradation within the operations and
functioning and lead the company to hold a competitive advantage in the marketplace (Du
Plessis and Blom, 2020).
In order to understand the impact of changes adequately, a differentiation is being done within
two organisation. It helps to understand the strategies and tools that should be implemented by
different business to overcome and incorporate those changes with organisation and help them to

acquire a significant market share. Organisation changes is the process which changes the way in
which organisation is operating by bringing new innovations and technological advancement.
The factors which leads to changes can be political, social, technological and many more.

has its chains of supermarket

Scotland. The company
predominately works in food
and grocery products. The
main purpose of Morrisons is
to provide healthy food at
reasonable prices to their
customers which is affordable
for everyone. The reason
behind the success of the
organisation is continuos
improvement in customers
services, improving sales,
innovations and supplier
relationship (Skokic, Lynch
and Morrison, 2019).
ASDA is a second largest
British supermarket chain. The
organisation was founded in
1949 and has its headquarter in
Leeds, England. The
organisation provides great
and dedicated customer
services, network of stores and
online services through
supermarkets, superstores and
more across UK. It encourages
to remain open with their
opinion, which helps the
organisation to offer customers
services as per their needs and
preferences.
