Executive Summary
Self management is the key towards personal development. For this, individuals need to
communicate with peers, supervisors and others. The communication style used reflects their
thought processes. Discussing the plans with others is assistance in terms of enhancing the skills,
knowledge and expertise. The more the individuals indulge in research, the more they get to know
about the avenues, which they can avail for enhancing their career. Analysing the personal strengths
and weakness helps in assessing the extent to which they are prepared for adjusting within the
preferred business environment. Gap analysis is an effective tool for enhancing the awareness about
the areas, which needs modification. Consistency in evaluating the gaps upgrades the standards and
quality of performance.

1. Introduction
Owing to the constant change and evolutions in the business environment, the interns,
fresher and graduates need to upgrade their skills, abilities and competencies. This is in terms of
maintaining the pace with the contemporary brands in the competitive ambience of the market.
Conducting journey mapping, attended coaching classes and spoken English classes are the
productive in terms of assessing the feasibility of the current skills in terms of the identified and the
specified benchmark levels and standards (Cottrell 2015). Within this, the main focus is on examining
the personal capabilities and analysing their impact on career aspirations. Consideration of the
industry trends in this examination is fruitful in terms of aligning them with the expectations.
Consideration of real world examples in the assessment is fruitful in terms of gaining an
insight into the requirements needed for enhancing the careers. These examples are crucial in terms
of standardizing the performance of the individuals. Typical example of this is setting routines and
time limits, which upgrades the approach towards dealing the allocated tasks and responsibilities.
Revising the targets according to the requirements is beneficial for reducing the discrepancies at the
time of actual performance (Cottrell 2017).
This assignment attempts to develop a report on self-abilities, capabilities and
competencies.
