This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to manage effective
negotiations in relation to the sale, lease or management of property. It
includes:
Establishing the needs and expectations of relevant parties
Negotiating to achieve desired outcomes
Managing potential and real disputes between parties.
The unit may form part of the licensing requirements for persons engaged
in real estate activities in those States and Territories where these are
regulated activities.

This activity is an open book activity
All questions are to be answered in the case study
Anyone caught or suspected of cheating will receive a zero mark
Note you will be advised of results within 2 weeks. However If
unforeseen events arise, then your results may be delayed.
The result satisfactory or unsatisfactory will be entered representing
achieved competency or not yet competent respectively.
Non programmable calculators / standard dictionary are allowable.
Each question will be marked as satisfactory or not satisfactory next to
the question.
Real estate agents and auctioneers in New South Wales are required to
comply with the Property, Stock and Business Agents’ Act 2002, as
amended and the 2003 Regulations to the Act.
You will be required to complete a TAKE HOME Case Study and provide a
detailed negotiated solution for the problem faced in the case study. All
questions must be addressed and answered correctly.
A marking criteria will be provided to you and you will be marked according
to the marking criteria.
Submission
instructions
Must be submitted in a professional written format (typed, 12 font) by the
due date. Submission Cover Sheet and Declaration must be signed and
attached the front of your Case Study.
