Background of the research
Globalisation refers to entering the international market for trading which helps in
promoting sense of cultural awareness. The researcher has selected the said topic due to increase
in globalisation which has helped various companies to grow their market. With the help of
globalisation, Zara is able to provide its products in different country and can increase market for
shoes. Zara is a fashion company which design and manufacture products. In the present
research, The researcher will identify the impact of globalisation on the development of new
product by Zara to sell the product in the launch event during London fashion week. It provides
clothing for men, women and children (Sain and Khurana, 2015). This company is having 7475
stores around the globe. The organisation with the help of Globalisation is able to provide its
products in all over the regions. Globalisation helps the company in free trade with other country
to gain more market share. Zara is going to Create and market a brand of new summer shoe to
give tough competition to the existing branding the shoe products. Zara has gain a great market
share in the clothing sector and now it's going to develop a new product to create a shoe market
through helps of globalisation (Gangotra and Shankar, 2016). The new product development
will help the organisation in attracting more customers towards firm. Zara will enhance its
profitability by developing a new product and offering them in different countries through
globalisation to give tough competition to other brands in international market.
Aims and Objectives
Aim :
To determine the impact of globalisation on new product development in context of Zara
Research Objectives :
To articulate the concept of globalisation for the new product development
To identify the benefits of globalisation on new product development of Zara.
To analyse the challenges faced by Zara in new product development.
To provide recommendation to Zara for Successful Launch of New product.
Research questions
What is the Concept of Globalisation for the new product development ?

Project Management Plan
Project management plan is required for managing the project execution. The project
Management plan covers the following aspects :
Cost : The study will incur cost for identifying the information through market research.
Moreover, the cost will be incurred to gather data from various sources to determine the
effectiveness of project (Taran, Goduscheit and Boer, 2015). Zara for development of
new product will incur cost on transportation, materials, marketing and promotion, labour
cost etc. The cost that will be incur by researcher will be of £50000.
Scope : This project will help in increasing awareness among people regarding concept
and advantages of globalisation. The project will be effective to provide assistance to
other researcher (Hass, 2017). This project will be so relevant that will provide easy
access to information regarding the impact of globalisation on developing a new product.
This project will help the researcher for their further researcher studies. Moreover, the
industry will be benefited by this research as it will assist in identifying the impact of
globalisation on the new product development.
Time : This study will take 186 days to complete the project. For completing the project
in time its is required to manage the activities in proper order by allocating specific time
to complete the project ion time.
Quality : The Study will perform its activities by maintaining the quality of the research.
It will provide specific information regarding the activities covered in this study
(Newton, 2016). The project will be conducted by proper maintaining the quality
standards for making effective research study.
Communication : The project will be managed by proper communication the plan
through use of social media sites and other techniques. The plan is communicated to get
better understanding of plan and if any changes required in plan.
Risk : For reducing the uncertainties and condition which may affect the project it is
required to manage the risk which will assist in completing the project without problems.

It is important to assess the risk in order to minimize the impact of risk on project (Boyle,
2017). There are risk which can affect the project such as loss of data, technical risk etc.
Resources : The project for completing its various activities will require funding,
equipment such as laptop etc. The resources which are used for the research also consist
of human resource, financial resources and the physical resource for completing this
research in effective and efficient manner.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES
It is one of systematic plan that aids to conduct the research effectively. This is one of
procedure that helps to collect the information and data for the purpose of making the sound
decision. Thus, it has been defined in following manner as-
Research philosophy- It is a belief with help of which phenomenon should be gathered,
used and analysed. Thus, there are various types of research philosophies as positivism,
realism, epistemology and axiology (Research Philosophy, 2018. ). This is process that
uses to collect the detailed information. On the other hand, Positivism philosophy is
based ion natural phenomena and the proper and relation, thus, with help of
interpretivism philosophy the generalised conclusion of data can be drawn. In order to
carry out the present research, the researcher will have the use of interpretative technique
to determine the impact of globalisation on new product development.
Research approach- This term can be defined as plan and procedure that consist of
broad assumption to detailed method of data collection, analysis and interpretation.
Therefore, it is based in nature of research on which problem being addressed. Thus,
approaches of research will be defined in below contexted manner as inductive and
deductive (Hillson, 2017). In this, the process of deductive is mainly concerned with
developing the hypothesis and to be based on existing theory. On the other hand,
inductive theory will be based on generation of new theory emerging from the data. In
order to carry out the present research the researcher will have the use of inductive
technique so that impact of globalisation in the new product development in ZARA can
be conducted effectively. This kind of approach is helpful in terms to collect the depth
information about the topic of research.

Research design- It is plan and the strategy that aids to implement the plan so that better
working can be conducted. Thus, research design is set of methods and procedure that
aids to collecting and analysing the variable measures that specified in research problems.
Thus, there are the mainly four kind of research design as descriptive, correlational, quasi
experimental and experimental. In order to determine the impact of globalisation ion new
product development of ZARA the research will have the use of Descriptive technique so
that depth information about the topic of research can be conducted.
Data collection- This is process that helps to process, collect and measure the
information that is based in variables of interest. There are number of sources with help
of which there can be possible to get the accurate picture of data integration. It is
essential to maintain the integrity of research and making informed business decision.
Thus, there are to method of data collection as primary and secondary. With the help of
the use of primary data collection the information can be determined with the use of first
hand information (Young, 2016). Thus, secondary information can b collected by the use
of books, journal, articles etc. In order to determine the impact of Globalisation on the
product and development the researcher will have the use of both primary and secondary
technique so that better information about the topic of research can be conducted.
Data analysis- It is process of helps to inspecting, cleansing, cleansing and transforming
the information so that each things can aids to supports the decision making. The data
can be analysed with help of techniques as qualitative and quantitative (Data analytics,
2018). The qualitative techniques is helpful in terms to conduct the depth information and
it can be done by the use of survey technique and the help of questionnaire. On the other
hand, quantitative technique will be helpful in terms to collect the information with the
use of practical integration of data and by the use of tool as SPSS (Winter and
Szczepanek, 2017). In order to carry out the implication of globalisation on innovation of
ZARA the researcher will have the use of qualitative approach.
Sampling- It is method that used as statistical analysis with help of which particular
observation can be drawn. The process of sampling can be defined in two terms as
probabilistic and non probabilistic (Polonsky and Waller, 2018). The sample of 25
working can be conducted. Thus, research design is set of methods and procedure that
