Combining Nursing leadership with Advocacy
It is seen that nurse manager plays a great role in making safe and positive working
environment. It is seen that a nurse manager has a clear guidance on the overall facilities and
also the care which is necessary by the patients and the relatives at the time of healing. They
have an objective with the effects on achieving a culture which is professional at the time of
recruiting and retaining the nurses who are experts (Guyton, 2012).
By giving focus on this important role, it is seen that there is a tool which is also
identified as the Nurse Manager Inventory Tool that considers the behaviors and the talents of
the nurse manager so that they can achieve success. This tool gives permission to the nurse
manager conduct a self-analysis which can be best suited with the manager's superior's valuation
of making an growth professional plan for an individual (Upenieks & Valdam, 2003).
It is centered on the three spheres which are created by three associations related to the
national nursing. By giving focus on all these three spheres it is analyzed that I judged me as a
nurse manager. My assessment which is built on the four zones is mentioned in the following

The analysis of areas under the heading consist the overall individual development,
behavior, practice which are ethical, the participation of the professional association. By giving
emphasis on the above parts, my development rate and also my educational progression, I
personally would rank me as one of a novice. It is seen that to be a nurse my ethical values and
standards are respectable to make the lead in me. My professional development is linked to my
membership with my professional organization. So, I would consider myself capable in the
sector (Contino, 2004).
Career Development
The parts of analysis in career development consist of knowing my role, knowing my
future and also in arranging me. It is essential for a nurse manager to know the recent work and
the activities should be conducted with dedication. The foresight consists of positioning yourself

and having an aim with proper devotion. I satisfy all the necessities and have a strong objective
that defines me. So, in this field, I would call myself as a professional expert (Sherman, 2007).
Personal Journey disciplines
In this, it consists of shared leadership. Learning and reflective practice are considered as
an important key area. It is seen that in behavior concerned with leadership and the ability in
controlling boards is important. I analyzed me developing in the sector and I am still acquiring
knowledge more. My methods of activities learning for resolving the issues and it redirect on the
routine decisions. So, in this field, I would rank myself as a skilled expert (Meliniotis, 2015).
Reflective practice reference behavior
In this, it consists of rules which simplify such activities. It can be grounded on models
which are created by another people or an individual. The main area in this category is that it acts
as a tool that gives reflection to the individualistic and also gives a reflection on the behavior
related to leadership. The leadership behaviors consist holding the truth, praising of ambiguity,
holding many perspectives without creating any findings, fostering the emotional and intellectual
and holding the promises to oneself (Staples, 2012). These specific areas are important factors
that help in creating the base for a leader in the sector related to nursing management. By
focusing on the integrity present in myself, my elasticity to conduct the activities in various
environments, and my interest to acquire new things by considering the emotions of others, so in
this field, I personally will give ranking of an expert (Guyton, 2012).
Usage of my recent skill related to leadership to advocate for change in my workstation
To make variations in my workstation for best, I would ensure that unity in diversity as
an aspect of leadership ability. I trust to work together in fulfilling the promises along with
focusing on the needs and wants of the coworkers. The coordination will help to enhance the
self-assurance and also devoted employees which will be strength for a company. It is essential
to adjust yourself to the varying work environment also assisting the individuals to be
comfortable with the changes (Sherman, 2007)

The skills related to leadership are considered as beneficial to the company and for
individual growth definitely see no restrictions. I feel that I am learning every day and I give
focus on making my work better. My personal technique to increase my skills in keeping the
interest to acquire more is that I never stop to grab the opportunity to accept the challenges
which are new and acquire plans in the process of knowledge. I have promised never to panic
from disappointments then acquire more as possible. I am acquiring new things each and every
day and searching new venture for myself (Contino, 2004).
