1 QUESTIONING – 25 Short answer questions

You will be provided 25 short answer questions related to the unit of competency undertaken in
your course. The questions are used to assess your level of knowledge in relation to various aspects
of the unit.
It is important that you read each question carefully prior to starting the assessment and seek
clarification if any question is unclear. Please note your assessor can only provide more information
to clarify the intent of the question, not provide details of the required answer.
This is an individual assessment.
If you feel that you may be entitled to access reasonable adjustment strategies to
assist you in completing the assessment, you should discuss the issue with your
assessor before the assessment is due.
If an extension is required, please request it in writing at least three (3) days prior
to the assessment taking place.
You have two (2) attempts to achieve a satisfactory result on each part of the
assessment alternatively your assessor may negotiate a further assessment with you.
This assessment must be completed out of class in your own time
For this assessment, you are required to answer all questions to the standard required to achieve a
result of satisfactory. All assessments must be assessed as satisfactory for you to be deemed
competent in this unit.

professionals and doctors through the organization World Health Organization which helps in
addressing the roles and responsibilities which are being addressed at large scale.
Q2: List the five (5) functions of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. MR FER
There is major five functions which helps in addressing the aspects of Nursing and Midwifery
Board of Australia. These are answered as follows –
Overseeing registration of practitioner.
Development of codes, standards, guidelines by professionally creating the aspects within
the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Handling the complaints and notification which are related to the profession within

Benefits of joining the Victorian branch of the ANMF are described as follows –
Inquires relating to work.
There are workplace visits, member representation, orientations are being conducted
online.
Inquires to other ANMF staff.
There are education center courses and job rep, training courses and occupational health.
These are the benefits of joining the Victorian branch of the ANMF.
Q4: Briefly discuss how you would explain the health care benefits to a client whilst
in hospital according to the following health care funding: (30-80 words on each of
the three benefits)
a) Medicare scheme
b) Private health insurance-highest coverage
c) Veterans’ Affairs-Gold card

Medicare scheme helps in addressing list of all the health services that the government subsidizes.
A team of medical experts keeps the list safe, up to date and best practice. This scheme helps in
addressing the aspects as to how effectively and significantly the services are being provided in
the healthcare sector.
b) There are two kinds of cover which are being addresses as – hospital cover for some of the cost
of hospital treatment as a private patient, general treatment cover for some non – medical health
services not covered by Medicare.
c) Veterans’ Affairs-Gold card helps in providing the healthcare benefits and services to the clients
with the help of medical treatment which helps in addressing the aspects as to how effectively
care is being taken of the patient. There are certain cervices and support which are granted
through counselling in veteran home care, aid, equipment and modification, travel and care
services.
Q5: Identify four (4) benefits of private health insurance for the individual or the
public health system.

Choosing your own doctor.

Improvement in facilities which are provided to the patients.
There are unrestricted visiting hours with the patients.
Private rooms are made available for delivering the best services to the patients in private
health insurance system.
Q6: Identify a service that is currently provided by Government funding.

Public dental services, hospitals, ambulance, mental health programs are diversified at large scale
within the federal ones. If the funding is cut or reduced there are immediate impacts to health
care delivery in Australia which are –
The patients face the problems in getting to the services at large scale.
They face problems in funding as how effectively the changes must be taken into
consideration at large scale.
The health care and delivery of services are not provided to the patients properly.
Q7: With a focus on your local area:
a) List four (4) health care settings available within the region
b) What are four (4) strengths and four (4) weakness associated with the
overall local health care system?

are -
Administering and managing public hospitals.
