INTRODUCTIONOperation and project management is the business approach which is used by themanager in order to solve their daily operational issues and develop strategic plans. Projectmanagement includes the planning, organizing, controlling and monitoring all the operationalactivities. Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc is British engineering multinational companywhich is founded in 2008 in Whitley United Kingdom (Brink, Madsen and Lutz, 2015) . This report cover various topics such as effectiveness of operations managementprinciple, continuous improvement plan which is based of the critical review. In addition, itincludes the project life cycle and application of each stage which help the organization toanalyse every stage. MAIN BODYLO1&LO21. Overview of the organizationJaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC is holding company of Jaguar land rover limited, itis multinational British organization. Main activity is to develop, manufacture, design and sale ofvehicle across the border. Company established in 18, January 2008 and key people are Dr. Ra;fSpeth, Ian Callum etc. It is subsidiary of TATA Motors which is Indian automotive organization.2. Difference between operation and operation managementOperation Operations Management In the organization, conversion of resourcesfrom raw material to finished goods with fullof efficiency or effectiveness. These activitieswill comes under operations which is managedby the operation manager of company. Under this process, operation manager have tomanage internal activities to timely deliver thegoods & services to the customers. Operationsmanagement plays important role in theorganization and helps in successfullycomplete the project. 3. Critically review the implementation of operation management principle in the organizationThere are various principle of operation management which help the organization toperform their task and make them capable to achieve operational as well as business objectives.Operation manager of Jaguar Land Rover Plc applied various principle in the organization to
enhance their performances and efficiency (Principle of operations management, 2019). Some ofprinciple discussed below:Reality: Operation manager have to focus on internal problems rather than techniquesbecause it is important to analyse the problem and then implement any strategy as per thesituations (Campbell, Jardine and McGlynn, 2016). Organization: All the activities will be done for making profit, so in the organization allfunctions are interconnected. Here all the actions are predicted and consistence for longerduration. It is used to generate more profit margin and achieve business goals & objectives. Fundamentals: According to this principle, 80% success will be achieve due to followstrict rules & regulation such as discipline and maintaining records for organization. Remaining20% by using different techniques in the business to enhance operational functions. Accountability: Operation manager have to set some rules & standards which alsoinclude some responsibility regarding their role which they perform in the organization in orderto achieve goals. Manager have to review employees performance and than check whether itmeet the requirement or not. Measure performance: It will be measured through business growth where manageranalyse performance of each employee and than provide various incentives to encourage them.Above mention principle follow by the manager of Jaguar Land Rover Plc and implementin effective manner. For example: Organization face the low profit margin in comparison toprevious years. So firstly, manager have to analyse problem and than develop effective solutionfor it. By using above mention principle, operation manager able to identify problem and thensolve with effective solution. With the help of this, business able to focus on their operationalfunctions achieve organizational goals & objectives. 4. Analyse operation management which meet with business requirementPrinciple of operation management help the organization to increase their work efficiencyand provide solutions in order to achieve business gaols & objectives. With the help of this,business meet the upcoming requirement and it will be analysed below:Operation manager of Jaguar Land Rover Plc have to reduce their car cost in order tomeet business requirements. Company implement various principle of operationmanagement which is beneficial for the automotive sector company.
