INTRODUCTION
The management is the process to control whole organisational activities in order to
complete the all objectives and goals. Leadership is referred as the abilities of an individual to
influence and motivated others so they can contribute in the success of organisation. Leaders as
well as managers ensure the smooth functioning of organisation. In this report the chosen
organisation is Tesla which deals in the electric vehicles and clean energy. The organisation is
founded in July1.2003 and headquarter is situated in the California, United state. 70,757
employees are working in the organization. In this report, various roles of leader and managers
and various approaches are being discussed in the context of Tesla.
P1 Definition and roles of both managers and leaders and differences between management and
leadership
Managers: Managers is defined as a person who are responsible to manage all
organizational functions. He has charge over the specific department and on people who are
working in it(Adnan,and Valliappan, 2019). Basically the primary aim of managers is to exercise
all managerial functions. He has power to hire, fire and do performance appraisal activities and
monitor performance of respective employees.
Roles of managers: Managers have various roles and responsibilities within the
organisation to ensure the smooth working of Tesla. These roles are discussed below:
Manager's role in the Tesla is to find various relative informations by scanning the
environment and other internal as well as external factors. He monitor all aspects
then manage organisation accordingly.
Mangers also have responsibility to motivate, inspire and maintain effective
communication with all level of organisations employees.
Entrepreneurial roles is very important of manager to create and innovate new
process in order to increase performance.
Leaders: Leaders are the person who lead , guide and direct employees to enhance their
performance(Bush, and Montecinos, 2019). Generally leaders are the group of person that have
power to lead the organisation into the correct manner.

Roles of leaders: There are various roles and responsibilities that are undertaken by the
leaders in order to motivate employees and conduct organisation in defined manner. Some of
roles are discussed below:
leaders have the responsibilities to coach and guide employees in right direction, so they
can accomplish their assigned task within time(Chadwick, and Leigh, 2018).
Leaders are able to lead the respective team. He have to take decisions regarding creation
of team sprite among all team members.
Leaders define visions of future at all level and develop a plan to achieve these visions.
He communicate relative information in effective manner.
