Operations management 3
Part1-Quality and Conformance
1. What is the company philosophy on quality?
Fresin Fries is a locally owned fast food outlet that aims to get the international market position
by creative approach. Aside from that, the philosophy of Fresin Fries includes a combination of
excellent food such as snacks through window shopping inside a shopping mall. In this manner,
the actual philosophy of Fresin Fries critically reflects three essential goals of Fresin Fries.
Establishment of Fresin Fries as a successful local fast food outlet to gain high market share in
Singapore. Besides that, the management of Fresin Fries also aims to formulate an outlet in the
shopping mall to draw the attention of the ongoing consumers (Sumaedi & Yarmen, 2015). In
this way, fresh-cut Belgian fries with signature dipping sauces are the dominant philosophy of
Fresin Fries that could increase the profit and revenue.
On the other hand, the management of Fresin Fries is always concentrating on high-quality
snacks products that consumed low oil. Advanced frying process of Belgian fries includes
standards of food quality to meet the expectations of the consumers. In this manner, as Fresin
Fries is stepping into the third year, they are very much focusing on the current market position
in the fast food industry of Singapore (Abd-El-Salam, Shawky & El-Nahas, 2013). However, the
management of Fresin Fries has a desire to offer high-quality Belgian fries to the people of
Singapore by developing an outlet infamous shopping mall. Window shopping is another
creative philosophy of Fresin Fries that could help them to achieve desired goals and objectives.
2. How is this managed? How does it flow throughout the organization and onto external
stakeholders?
The management of Fresin Fries had taken several initiatives for managing organizational
growth and progress, for example, social media marketing, e-mail marketing and website
content. In this manner, the management of Fresin Fries has employed efficient employees in
every operational department for meeting the expectations of the consumers (Layman, 2014).
Therefore, the management of Fresin Fries has also focused on the supply chain management
process to offer high-quality Belgian fries for getting ultimate customer satisfaction. The
management of Fresin Fries had created a stable relationship with several suppliers to control the
negotiation process successfully. Therefore, the distribution channel of Fresin Fries also includes

excellent infrastructure for attracting the consumers as much as possible, for example, window
shopping. In this manner, the management of Fresin Fries also attempted to study stakeholder
management system in last three years of trading and they have acquired a wide range of
information to satisfy the external stakeholders, for example, customers, suppliers and
distributors (Burgoine et al.2014). The supply chain management of Fresin Fries includes quality
management strategies that not only increase the brand value of the organization but also boost
economic stability also. Apart from that, the management of Fresin Fries also adopted a discount
strategy to satisfy one of the critical external stakeholders as consumers. Most of the consumers
want high-quality food products at low and reliable prices, and Fresin Fries can target their
audience with discount strategy. Moreover, the discount strategy is one of the practical
marketing approaches by which Fresin Fries can earn high profitability.
3. Evaluate the conformance levels - what are the implications internally and externally?
The management of Fresin Fries always focuses on both internal and external business
environment for improving the decision-making process. With the help of internal business
analyses, the management of Fresin Fries can identify the integral relationship among the
employees that would affect the consumer satisfaction level. In this manner, the management of
Fresin Fries can determine the requirements of the employees with the support of useful internal
business analysis. Moreover, the employee's job satisfaction is one of the significant elements of
the domestic business analysis that can be achieved by effective motivation, for example, reward
strategy (Hobin et al.2014).
On the other hand, the management of Fresin Fries needs to identify political, economic, social,
and technological factors to examine the external business environment of the international
industry. In other words, the management of Fresin Fries must review all external business
environment factors to expand the business effectively. Lastly, Fresin Fries could not achieve its
desired goals by analyzing its internal and external business environment of Singapore.
