Norming: In this roles and responsibilities are assigned to team members through they are
performing task more effectively.
Performing: In this the team and its people share some common purpose and vision, so they
work in effective manner to meet them appropriately.
Adjourning: Here, behavior of each individual can be measure in respect of motivating them for
their work.

P4) (A) Appropriate organizational theory to improve team performance.
In order to enhancing the performance of team manager of BBC has a huge concern over
proper utilization of resources which are available at work place. BBC is widely focused on
adopting path goal theory as it is more effective for improving team performance. Its evaluated
as under:
Path goal theory:
This theory is consisting with leadership style, which is more suitable and effective in
attaining organizational goals and objectives. The basic purpose of BBC is to maximizing
employee’s engagement in various activities in order to getting employees satisfaction and
empowerment for enhancing their working ability (Kazemipour and Mohd Amin, 2012). This
theory is vastly related with vroom expectancy theory which describes that the behavior of each
individual is different from each other as they all are willing to gaining their desired goals and
objectives.
(B) Various barriers that could affect team performance.
In this modern scenario each business firm are facing various problems and issues which
has a huge impact on organizational performance. Through some effective obstacle BBC is not
able to attaining their desired goals in assigned period of time, in which some are described as
under:
Poor Communication: It is the major responsibility of firm and its authority to establish
an effective communication channel in order to effectively transformation of important
data and information in all departments. This refers as the major issue of firm and needs
to be resolved by firm in effective manner.
Lack of managerial involvement: They are considered as the most effective human resource at
work plays that plays most effective role at work place with implementing effective control over
all activities in order to carry out firms work in most efficient direction (Kellison and Mondello,
2012). It is required for manager to take participation in organisation activities in order to
creating effective decision which are beneficial for gaining high competitive advantage at market
place.
Bad behavior: It is essential for firm to measure the behavior of each individual who are
part of firm or its activities in order to enhancing their ability for performing any task.
Bad behavior may occur due to extra pressure, negative working environment, ego or
attitude. BBC is focused on resolving the issues of employees and fire most disturbing
employees from the work place.
