INTRODUCTION
Organisational Behaviour is the study of how people interact with each other in the
business organisation. Its principles are applied primarily in how to make business operate more
efficiently. The main goal of organizational behaviour is to strengthen the theory and developing
a better conceptualization of organizational life . The study examines the human behaviour in the
work environment and to regulate its impact on job structure, communication, performance ,
motivation, leadership etc. The behaviour of the employees is affected by the people
surroundings as well as the workplace of the organisation. LG Electronics is the South Korean
multinational electronic company which is headquartered in Seoul, south Korea. It deals in
serving electronics products(Isiaka, Adeoti and Aliyu, 2019). This report will include the what
makes an effective team, concept of philosophies and then critically evaluation of relevance of
team development.
P3 Explain what makes an effective team opposed to ineffective team?
EFFECTIVE TEAM- Any group of people whose individual effort are resulted in the
outcome that is greater than the sum of individual efforts is called as team work. These are the
foundation of every successful organisations an effective team always promote an open
communication in the workplace(Volgger and Huang, 2019).
Tuck man model- This model includes five stages in a group development . It starts from the
first time the team is made to the completion of the task of the team .
 Forming- This is the first stage where the team is formed and every member agrees
upon the goals and objectives.
 Storming- This is the second stage where the members of the team start to open up and
trust is built between the team members.
 Norming- The team members start to realise the importance of the team and start
accepting everyone quirks for the sake of the group(Chin and Md Yusoff, 2019).
 Performing- At this stage the team members have built enough trust and they work
upon the desired goals and objectives and they are motivated to work together.
 Adjourning- Here at this stage the task is over then it is evaluated and the plans are made
if any changes required and the individual performance is acknowledged.

Ineffective team- The team which has conflicts, filled with distrust, unfocused, and making of
negative competition. The team is ineffective and not able to achieve its goals and objectives on
the time(Agarwal and Farndale, 2017).

PATH GOAL THEORY- This theory states that a leader's behaviour is contingent to
the satisfaction, motivation, and performance of their employees. The job of the leader is to
guide its followers to choose the best path to achieve the goals of the business organisation.
This suggests the various styles such as(Dürr, 2019).
 Directive- A directive leader lets its subordinates give a correct direction and the goal of
the organisation. LG electronics can use this style where it needs to direct its employees
in the situation if employees have not clear goals.

 Supportive A supportive leader is who is friendly in nature and approachable with its
team members. LG electronics can use this style when employees have conflicts. The
leader can solve it and support them so that they feel motivated.
 Participative – In this style the leader allows its followers in the decision making and let
them to share their views and ideas. The LG electronics can use this strategy where it is
planning to expand its business and can take suggestions of its subordinates.
 Achievement oriented- in this the leader expects its team members to perform high and
sets the challenging goals and objectives. LG electronics can use this strategy where the
employees performance is high and to those who are willing to work more and can
handle the pressure.
M3 Analyse the team and group development theories to support the development of
dynamic cooperation?
It is suggested that the LG electronics can use the Tuck man model for the group
development. This will affect the organisation to develop a effective team and to create the goals
of the organisation. The team will be developed in the right manner and will able to perform
effectively. This can create the positive impact in achieving the goals of the organisation and the
team formation will support the development of dynamic cooperation for the companies
operations.
M4 Justify and evaluate a range of concept and philosophise in how they influence
behaviour in positive and negative way?
This can be determine using the path goal theory. The behaviour of the employees
depend on the surroundings of the people and the workplace. LG electronics is suggested that the
if the leader is supportive to its subordinates so this will impact in a positive way and will lead to
work effectively and efficiently. If the leader does not follow any style or is very much directive
then the employees behaviour can impact in the negative way as they might feel the leader is
more formal in nature and have strict rules(Chartrand and Zhang, 2019).
D2 Critically evaluate the relevance of team development theories in the concept of
organisational behaviour in the workplace?
It is suggested that if LG electronics has an effective team then it can perform better and
achieve its goals at the right time. The behaviour of the individual aslo depends on the team

development. If the members are not cooperated then this can demotivate the employees. It is
important that the company has an effective team which will lead to better performance of their
employees.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that the behaviour of the employees depends on the
surroundings of people and the business organisation. The effective team is always better than
ineffective team in achieving the goals of the company. Lg electronics can practice on the
effective team development by motivating their employees and keeping the healthy environment.
Also the company can use path goal theory to determine the aspects in the behaviour of the
employees and can adopt the various styles in different situation to be a successful organisation.
The leader of the company should adopt the supportive and participative leadership so that it can
motivates its subordinates which will lead to effective work and positive workplace.
