Introduction
The following paper will discuss about one of the most crucial factors for the success of
the contemporary business organizations i.e. organizational change management. It is utmost
important for business organizations to apply change management systems within their
operations so they can gain maximum benefits. The role of the managers is immense in
executing these change management systems after thoroughly going through the problems that
have arisen within their operations management. In this essay, the main purpose will be on
providing examples of two successful organizations within the same business industry by
applying change management systems (Kaufman 2017).
The business industry that has been chosen in this essay is the hospitality industry. The
two successful organizations chosen in this scenario are AccorHotels and Hilton Hotels. Both the
hospitality industry organizations are very much famous for their mind blowing success over the
years. Both the organizations have implemented some change management systems that are quite
beneficial for them. In this paper, both the change management systems will be discussed and the
reasons for their success will also be viewed. These change management systems are quite
important for them because they were going through some issues when these systems were
implemented.
Brief background of organizations
AccorHotels is probably one of the biggest companies in the hospitality industry. It is a
multinational company in hospitality based mainly in France. The headquarters of this company
is located at Paris. The organization was set up in the year 1967 in the month of August. This
organization is a leader in the hospitality industry (Accorhotels.com 2019). Outside the sphere of

United States, AccorHotels is arguably the largest hotel group in the world (Accorhotels.com
2019). There are more than 2000 hotels operated by Accor Group all over the world. Therefore,
it is one of the finest and luxurious hotels that provide their visitors and customers with premium
experiences all the time.
Secondly, the next organization for this essay is Hilton Hotels. It is also one of the
biggest organizations in the hotel and hospitality industry stretched all over the world. This
organization was established in the year 1919. The founder of this organization was Conrad
Hilton. They operate more than 500 hotels in various locations all across the globe. This
organization is headquartered at Virginia in the United States. Therefore, these two organizations
are direct competitors in the international market (Hilton.com 2019).
Importance of organizational change management
Organizational change management has become a very essential component in the
contemporary business environment since organizations are very much competitive and almost
everyone of them applies dynamic strategies for their success. Amidst these challenges,
employees will have to adjust to these changes so they can get the competitive advantage over
their rivals (Kaufman 2017). If the change management systems have to be fruitful and effective,
the organizations can cater to the needs of their customers. One must be aware that changes
within the hospitality industry are very much dynamic. The hotels have to go through changes
every day because tastes of the visitors continue to change (Lewis 2019).
Some changes are seen in different departments like human resource management, job
responsibilities, financial services, service deliveries and many more. Therefore, these two
organizations must be able to cope up with all these changes within the competitive business
