INTRODUCTION
Organizational structure defines that way of direction of task allocation, coordination and
supervision towards achieving goals and objectives of the business. In addition, culture of
company encompasses values and behaviours that contributes unique social environment of
business(Ashkenas and et.al., 2015). This study is based on National Health Services(NHS).
Organisation is publicly funded national healthcare system for England. This assignment will
explain different types of public sector organizational structure. It will concept of culture applies
to public sector company. It will analyse structure and culture of chosen public services.
Furthermore, report will assess impact and role of monitoring organizational in making public
services accountable. It will explain structure, culture, role of government and monitoring apply
in chosen public services.

Different types of public sector organizational structure
Organizational structure orders that employees and management communicate within
company. Public sector utilizes organizational structure to achieve their tasks for good of all
citizens. These companies trust on strict definition of roles within organizational structure to
carry out their missions. There are many types of public sector organizational structure such as
vertical, horizontal, matrix, divisional( Withey and Gellatly, 2015).
Divisional organizational structure: Employees are separated employees according
their job speciality or geography in this structure. Each department oversees its own operations
with minimum input from other section. Within State Department are departments that manage
affairs relating economic growth, political affairs, arms control and human rights. This structure
is adopted in large and complex companies that handle diverse products. In such structure, firm
is divided into separate business units or departments in their operations.
Matrix organizational structure: This structure utilize system in which established
relationship among workers as well as administration as facility or enclosure rather than in
accepted series(Van der Voet, 2014). Enclosure construction allows organizations with related
responsibilities to interact with other, but its can also track to copy of attempt. It is combination
of two or more types of organizational structures. Matrix organization is the structure to give

top division with numerical of center, with number of middle manages and even lower level

required tasks.
Horizontal organizational structure: This structure focuses more balanced

Task culture: This type of civilization forms when teams are forming for particular
project and difficulties. Task in the essential situation, so power within team is rarely change
calculating on mixture group unit as well as position of difficulty or task(Bortolotti, Boscari and
Danese, 2015). With the right mixture of abilities, attributes, leading practical in teams can be
incredibly productive and creative.
