P2) Project Management Plan
Project Management Plan is approved document which is prepared for the successful
completion of the project on which the company is working (The Project Management Plan
(PMP), 2018). The project management plan covers different aspects of the project and also
helps in making coordination between different activities of the project so that the project can be
executed in a well manner. Some aspects of the project management plan are discussed as under:
Cost: Cost can be defined as the amount which will be required in order to make
completion of the project. In completing this project of recruitment, selection and training
of employees in the company it is required to prepare budget to get an early estimation of
the amount which is required to complete the project (Connell, 2013). It will help the
company to avoid future discrepancies in carrying out the project. By preparing budget
Nestle can make estimation of the amount which is required to make improvement in the
ways of recruitment, selection and providing training to their employees. For the
researcher, the time taken will be £ 150.
Total Forecasted Budget
Particulars (2018-19) £ Cost
Advertisement Expenses 2700
Promotional Expenses 2500
Technology Implementation Cost 7000
Training Charges 25000
Total Cost £ 37200

employees by making use of psychometric tests and by providing them training, the

training and it will also help in the personal and professional development of the
researcher (Dutta and Bose, 2015).
Time: In order to conduct the following research, the researcher took the time to
complete this research is 9 weeks.
Quality: For the researcher, the quality aspect means that the project must be completed
in a way which does not provide any false or misleading information to the readers. It
will reduce the quality and degree of accuracy of the project so the research should be
done in an accurate manner and should contain the most relevant data which will help
both the researcher and reader (Fageha and Aibinu, 2013).
Communication: Communication can be defined as the process of sharing ideas, views
from one person to another person in a way that the other persons gets right information
which the another wants to transfer. The researcher has also made use of telephones,
personal meetings, group discussions, phone calls, etc. in order to communicate and gain
knowledge about the project to accomplish it in a better way.
Risk: It is not an easy task to make and complete the project as there are also some risks
which are attached with this project. So in order to avoid these risks, it is necessary for
the researcher to make proper estimation of the amount of required to carry out different
tasks of the project (Fisher, 2011). From the viewpoint of researcher, the risks are related
to the wrong estimation of cost, time and conducting the research ethically.
Resources: It can be defined as the needed materials for the completion of the project.
For the researcher the required resources are pen, notebooks, books, computer system,
internet connection, etc. to complete the project.
P3) Gantt Chart and Work Break Down Structure
Gantt Chart: The following is the representation of the time period of the assignment in
which it has to be completed and also shows clearly about the time specified in order to complete
the work in specified time frame. The following chart is mostly used in order to make the work
simpler and easier. Further it also helps in properly monitoring on the different tasks of the
project as they are completed in the right way or not.

TASK 2
P4) Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods
In order to complete a research, there are two methods which are discussed as under:
Qualitative Method: Qualitative Method can be defined as the method in which data included is
in the form of theoretical explanations and provide knowledge about the project. It used in
making an effective quantitative research. The way of collecting the data use unstructured like
observation, personal interview, groups and many more.
Quantitative Method: Quantitative method can be defined as solving of problem through
appropriate statistics or numerical data. With the help of this method, we can find behaviour of a
sample population and qualifying opinions that will show the entire population. In this method,
data are gathered through systematic observation, direct interviews, survey, direct interviews etc.

Primary method: In this primary research the very new and fresh data are collected which
are not published in any previous findings or research yet. These are gathered with the help of
interviews, questionnaires, observations etc. (Hung and et. al., 2012).
Secondary method: In this research, the use data which is earlier gathered through first hand
collection of data. In this researchers apply data through associations, journals, internet, articles
etc.
In this project, researcher has applied qualitative research method. In this, primary
research is used as questionnaire. Under this method, specific questions are asked from sample
size and their judgement will be treated as a perspective of entire population. The reason behind
the adoption of this method is to acquire only the most relevant data from the candidates to
match with the criteria which the company wants from them.
TASK 2
P4. Small scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods
In the following assignment, the researcher had used both qualitative method an
quantitative method in order to make the successful completion of the research, they can collect
data and information to find out or get the objective of the research in context to Nestle. They
use this questionnaire method on 30 employees.
Sampling can be defined as the method of selection some members from a large number
of population in order to make an estimation of their characteristics. These are two type of
methods of sampling which are probability and non probability sampling. The type of sampling
used in this research is Probability Sampling which can be defined as the method in the sample is
chosen randomly from a large amount of population to remove the bias from the research which
can impact upon the credibility and authenticity of the research.

TASK 4
P7) Reflecting on the Reason to do the Research to achieve stated Objectives and Performance
There were several good and bad experiences which I encountered during the completion
of this research (Lambert and Enz, 2012). The bad experience was about the lack of knowledge
about the data collection method as due to insufficient knowledge I was unable to complete the
research on time. However, this issue was resolved with the help of teachers, friends and family
and resulted in the successful completion of this project. The positive experience came up from
the negative experiences as I got a lot to learn from my bad experiences. It enhanced my
knowledge and provided me new ways of working and accomplishing the work. Another
negative experience was about respondents behaviour as some of them were very indecent and
not behaved properly and that lowered down my motivation level to do the research. Finally all
the objectives of this research also achieved in an efficiently and made the project successful.
At the time of conducting this research, I came across a number of good and bad
experiences. I and my team had gone through the all the tasks required in order to complete this
research such as preparing questionnaire, collecting data for the research with the help of
internet, arranging finance for the different activities to be carried out in the research. The best
part was about the data collection as l was already having the experience to do so and in doing
19
Document Page
this, my past experience helped me a lot. The shortcomings during at the time of competing this
file was related to lack of coordination in between the different members of our team that caused
delay in the completion of research. In case, if I will be ever provided with this kind of project
than I will make sure to focus on coordination among the team, proper use of time and will also
focus on the communication skills.
CONCLUSION
From the above given data it can be concluded that projects should be managed by taking
into consideration all the aspects which can effect them. It is also concluded that Gantt Charts
and Work Break Down structure are very important to use in order to accomplish the given
project successfully. Further it is also concluded that project management plan is also essential to
prepare as to have full knowledge about the different aspects which can affect on the completion
of the project. Moreover, use of random respondents also increases the relevancy and accuracy of
results of the research.
