INTRODUCTION
Communication is a very significant to all the organisation to run their operations
effectively by use of various ways such as verbal, non-verbal and written communication in the
process. The useful information transfer to the receive without create any barrier. Health and
social care adopt various strategies and follow the communication practices in its sector so, the
service provider and users tackle the situations efficiently. In the project report, the study of
various types of communication theory apply in the Anu's patient scenario in the healthcare
sector. Also, adopt approaches to deal with the inadequate interpersonal communication and
various types of communication legislation follow by the staff workers so, they can act as a
professional. Discussion on the difference culture due to various types of language and
suggestion to deal with the diversity situations that make useful to the health and social care
communication process more effective.

2.1Explaination on communication process that are influenced by values and culture factors
Culture of each country is different in terms of views, customers, ideas and also
behaviour of a people in the society. In the health and social care the nurse, doctors and other
workers have to duty of care to all the patient's culture, beliefs and backgrounds. When the
patients culture are violate and ignore by the doctors or a nurse by react on it with full anger as
well as heart its emotions. In context of the scenario the English student nurse's violating it Arab
patient by shout on him and said that he has to wait for some minute. The negative attitude of a
nurse dissatisfied the patient and leave them in a terrible condition rather than help who is
recover from diseases is hysterectomy. She does not take it responsibility as a duty of care in
which she has to provide a healthcare services this resultant into the nurse behaviour is defensive
. It is an important for the healthcare worker to understand the patient situations by use of verbal
and non-verbal communication to understand the feelings of a patients. In the scenario, there is
culture difference between Arab patients and English student nurse as they are from different
countries (Wright, Sparks and O'hair,2012). The service provider have to be deliver healthcare
services to its patients on time when it required whether there is difference in values,
culture,religion and background. The doctor, nurse and workers in the hospital should have to

value the diversity and done its responsibilities effectively. The English nurse student have to
support by providing healthcare services to the Arab patient who is suffering from hysterectomy.
They can interpret the Arab language into English language understand the problem of its
patients. All the workers in the hospital have to respect each people by deliver them proper care.
2.2Explaination on Legislation impact on the effective communication process
Their are various laws and practices relate to communication process in the organisation
is achieved by use of various types of techniques and methods. The Data protection Act is
significant legislation that help them firm to secure all the important information about people
and takes a responsibility. In the health and social sector the information about each and every
patients are recorded and they are insecure that this data cannot misuse my anyone (Lefebvre,
2013). The important information influence the form of communicate to user of service and they
have to use of data by follow the strict regulation that are known as a data protection principles.
In the legislation tell the the healthcare worker is that to kept the confidentiality information that
are kept in the computer, video and paper not disclosed to any people if they do so, that means it
break the law. The hospitals have to record data of each individual who visit it in a professional
manner that ensure that the data is kept secured by them. Furthermore, the vital information
cannot be opened to any third party. The legislation of Data protection act promote healthier
practice that assist them to run their hospitality sector's operations and functions
smoothly(Bravo, Matute and Pina,2012). The main fundamental of health and social care is that
treat the patient as a respectable manner by kept its privacy information secured. Along with this,
there are some issues that does not give opportunities to people a freedom of choice, respect and
speech etc. The hospitality sector have to give all rights to all individual patients a right to speak,
choose and respect each other. This make them to enhance the capability of patients to transfer
message effectively with healthcare professionals about its duty of care.
2.3Analyse the effectiveness of organisational policies and system in promote good principles in
communication process
The organisational system and various policies used in the health and social that are
able them to shape the activities of communication and deliver information in appropriate
manner (Glasby and Dickinson,2014). It is essential for the hospital to create system and policies
that provide an effective communication. Here, some important policies and system are -

Whistle blowing policy-This policy help the staff worker to protect by provide them a
proper and clear guidance to follow the correct process. It will pay attention of suspected
wrongdoing that affect the organisation reputation.
Prevention of Accidents- The healthcare worker have to accept the responsibilities and
able to manage healthier environment by provide them precaution to its patients on time. The
minimum standards and regulation promote and protect of staff members as well as service users
by take care of health, safety and welfare etc. This will reduce the accidents happen such as
hazardous occur due to some case of ill in the health and safety care.
. Bullying in the workplace- Organisation believes that the staff workers have to make
environment healthier (Edelman, Mandle and Kudzma,2013). It able to make them free from
harassment and bullying with the management. This policy ensure them to all the employees that
they have to done work by enjoying and also fulfil its responsibilities.
2.4Ways to improve communication process
Health and social sectors must improve and develop the effective communication process
to maintain their reputation. It can be improved by to make communication more effective by
follow the provision of security of patient's important information. It the staff members to kept
the data confidentiality and minimize the confusion or misunderstanding in the whole process of
communication (Cowles,2012). Along with this, the rules and regulation are sustainable that
improve the process which relate to patients documentation, reports and presentation. It will
maximize the aim of both services users as well as providers.
Furthermore, the another way to improve the communication process by reduce the
barriers and also adopt strategies that help them to handle the difficult situation occur in the
health and social care. They should aware about the communication practices to the staff workers
that are relate to the ethics and values. The training and education increase the knowledge of
employees that make communication process effective (Mergel,2012). It is also an essential to
understand the complexity in the process that make them to understand the situations by act as a
good listener. The hospitality sector improved its communication process by the social care
workers that help them to make a relationship strong among users and providers.

The adopt the information and communication technology that provide various benefits to the
health and social care sectors. The benefits receive to all people are the organisation, service
user, providers and also general public (Sathar, 2013). The major benefits is that they help the
sector to keep all the personal information record secured. They record a various information in a
accurate manner as the use of IT software packages make the reader more easier to understand
the information. It will help the nurse, doctor and worker to understand the conditions of the
patients and able to provide service in an effective manner. The benefits of ITC are enjoy by the
professional by make the routine work done by utilize the useful time effectively. It also allow
the user to done its work in a speedy, safely and also in a modern way.
The another benefits in the field of health and social sectors make the patients
requirement done on time. It make them to done the treatments by ease in the administration that
make the administration principles efficient (Al-alak, 2010). The information are kept in the
documentation accurately and transfer them with the help of communication technology. This
will provide healthcare service to the users that promote independence and also foster good
communication.
3.3Analyse legal consideration in the use of ITC Impact the healthcare sector
The use of ITC is benefits to the health and social care but there is hazard of adopt the IT
software packages in the organisation. The use information are recorded in it and it is a
responsibility of a worker to keep the information secured(Kadushin and Harkness,2014). The
legislation are to consider by the healthcare sectors to protect from various harm to both service
provider and user are discuss below-
Breach of confidential- The data are recorded in the spreadsheet that are transfer from
place to another on internet by the use of service and provider. It is a fear in the mind of client to
leak the useful information to the third party. The legislation are introduced by the government to
protect the data by follow the personal files Act 1987 and Access to medical report act 1988. It
enable them to access only information that are relate to social services and also have a right to
access only medical reports to the worker for the purpose of insurance as well as employment.

Data protection- The advancement of technology used by health and social care kept the
information save only restrict by legislation of Data protection act it only facilitates to access the
useful information only to the clients and service provider. They kept the information secured
that involves medical records, credit information and also history of treatments.
Access- The Access to health Record Act 1990 that restrict the healthcare sectors to keep
the essential record at some limitations in the workplace (Engle,Young and Tamburlini,2013)
The information whether keep in the electronic or manual form as they service provider cannot
transfer or access any message to the another person about the service user.
CONCLUSION
Summarizing the whole report, it has been concluded that with advancement of
technology provide a various advantages to the health and social care to make communication
process more effective. In the project report it is a study that various legislation such as Data
protection act make process more effective by kept the confidential information by use of
information as well as communication technology. It will also enable them to enhance efficiency
in the services, quality of outputs and accountability. The culture diversity taken by the workers
as a respectable manner create better relationship among patients and workers. The doctor have
to follow non-verbal communication by use of sign language and technological aid that help
them to make communication process more effective. It is suitable in that particular situation
where the patient cannot communicate verbally in a serious situation.
