the practice of self-awareness amongst individuals. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a
reflective analysis on the basis of the knowledge and learning acquired from the content
discussed within the three week session. The paper will discuss the significance and
application of each topic with past knowledge regarding the areas. The sessions in the three
weeks discussed the nature of environment and organization with the role of management in
experiencing challenges, motivation and influence as well as the influence of workplace
communication. The paper will reflect upon the relevance of the topic areas on the potential

Discussion
Content and significance:
The first module helped me to understand the nature of the organization and how it
can mature with the considerable impact of the external and internal environment. The first
module established a base for understanding the macro and microenvironment, which
portrays a direct relationship with organizational decision-making and changes. The first
module helped me to learn about the role of management in accomplishing the ultimate goal
of efficiency and productivity. The content of the first module was significant to portray a
picture of the actual function of management and the bases or contributing factors of the
management. The first module also helped in understanding the potential challenges that can
influence the process of elevating performance. The second session helped in learning about
influences and power. I learned about the differences between power and influence. The

contributes towards the skills of handling clients and internal stakeholders.

Learning about the influences of macro and micro environmental agents was
important for me as it demonstrates the driver of changing the management activities and
organizational decisions with the consideration of competition and resource availability. The
understanding in the module was built with the help of theories, such as management

understanding of the managerial roles and function will train my skills to manage teams and
strategize an action for organizational sustainability in future. The management directions
taught me about the actions adopted by the organization in order to respond to market
opportunities. The topic area of influence and power taught me about the various categories
of power, personal and positional. Learning about power constituent is significant to
construct a strategic decision. I have also learnt about the influencing techniques, which can
be the sources of motivating people. The communication process helps in conducting training
programs, in leading a team or proposing a strategy. Conflicts and negotiation can be the tool
for resolving major challenges facing a professional role.
Past experiences
My past experience on this topic was limited to the awareness of the organizational
goal and nature, but I lacked the knowledge of influencers, external and internal environment,
which plays a major role in organizational practices. In my past experiences regarding the
topic area of power was only associated with the negative influencing factor or act of
imposing discipline, but with the first module, I learned the extended and significant
